The trailer for Wednesday’s second season is out now, revealing what seems to be the demise of a significant character.
It’s not surprising at all that “Wednesday,” Tim Burton’s high-profile remake, has become one of Netflix’s most successful shows. So, it comes as no shock that the series will be back for a second season in the current year.
Starting from August 6, 2025, you can stream the initial four episodes. The remaining four episodes will be accessible from September 4, 2025.
This revised version says: “In the upcoming season, Wednesday finds herself juggling family, acquaintances, and past enemies, leading her once again into another year of quirky and eerie chaos. However, fresh glimpses of the storyline reveal that a cherished character meets an untimely end.
Enid dies in Wednesday Season 2, kind of
In Season 1, Enid Sinclair lived with Wednesday Addams as roommates, starting off as contrasting personalities. However, over time, they managed to find shared interests and eventually formed a strong friendship.
It’s quite unexpected to learn that Enid passes away in the second season of Wednesday. In the latest preview, there appears to be a hint of a premonition as we see her grave marker with the inscription “In loving memory of Enid Sinclair. Cherished daughter and sister.
As I’m playing this spooky game, Morticia turns to her daughter and asks why she’s weeping. “It’s because Enid is dead,” my character replies, “and it’s all my doing.” Just then, Enid’s ghostly figure materializes, wrapping her spectral hands around my character’s neck, shrieking, “I’m gone because of you!
However, even though the situation seems dire, as Morticia gazes upon a drawing of deceased Enid, she vows firmly, “I won’t allow history to be repeated.
On Wednesday’s own words, “The quicker I receive responses, the more quickly I can rescue Enid.” This implies that Season 2 might focus on the Addams Family’s efforts to avert Sinclair’s downfall, suggesting that Enid’s fate isn’t yet sealed.
Regarding any additional developments, showrunner Miles Millar explains: “Not everything is as it appears in Season 2. Wednesday believes she understands Nevermore. This is her voluntary return to a school for the first time.”
However, upon her return, she finds nothing as anticipated. She believes herself to be in command, assuming she’s aware of everyone’s secrets, but finds herself mistaken.
On August 6, 2025, Wednesday will make its comeback. Let’s revisit the cast of Season 1 and speculate on who Lady Gaga might portray in Season 2.
