InZOI’s creators recently hosted an exclusive live broadcast, where they disclosed information regarding their early access phase. The exciting news included a more affordable-than-expected price for the game and a timeline of updates leading up to the end of this year. In simpler terms, the Korean version of the Sims series game has been set at $39.99. The developers have gained a lot of respect from fans due to their motto “players over profit.” Moreover, they’ve guaranteed that all DLCs and updates will be free during the early access period.

40 dollars? Wow, I’m so happy that I stopped playing Sims.

This move will reward their loyal player base. Great choice inZOI!

inZOI roadmap

The developers’ blueprint seems quite extensive, as you can observe. You can anticipate updates every 2-3 months, and each one is planned to include a significant amount of fresh content.

Update 1 (May)

  1. Modding kit (Maya, Blender).
  2. Changes in weight, muscle regulation.
  3. Codes.
  4. Improvement of relations.
  5. Adoption system.
  6. System building improvements and new furniture.
  7. Improvements to Zoi’s creator.

Come August, we’re set to get our hands on the initial DLC named “Cat Island”, or Kucingku. This expansion will introduce a novel city into the game, reminiscent of Southeast Asia.

  2. Adjusting keyboard shortcuts.
  3. Changing the size of objects in building mode.
  4. New furniture.
  5. UX improvements for moving houses.
  6. Improvements to Zoi’s creator.

As a devoted follower, I must admit that some of the advancements the developers have teased are somewhat ambiguous, leaving us in the dark about specifics like what “enhancements to the creator” entail. Still, with fingers crossed and faith in their abilities, it’s unlikely we’ll find much reason to grumble about the game’s progress pace – provided, of course, that they manage to stick to their deadlines. But the enthusiasm among fans remains resiliently high.

Starting March 28th, I’ll get early access to the exciting new game, inZOI, on Steam. Before then, I can already peek at the character creator and building mode without any charges!
