We Finally Know Who Voices The New Princess Peach In Mario Kart World

Over the last 18 years, I’ve been honored to lend my voice to Nintendo’s cherished characters, Princess Peach and Toad, in Mario Kart. However, when the latest game, Mario Kart World, was announced and released, I learned that I wouldn’t be reprising these roles this time around. It was a surprise, as I hadn’t been informed beforehand. Now, it seems that new voices will bring our beloved princess and mycological friend to life – a change that has only just been revealed.

Laila Berzins and Courtney Lin have taken on the characters of Toad and Princess Peach (and Baby Peach in Berzins’ case) for Mario Kart World. Previously, Berzins has provided voiceovers for Hades and Genshin Impact, while Lin is known for her work on Neon White and Monster High series.

At last, I’m thrilled to announce that I am now the voice actor for both Princess Peach and Baby Peach in the Mario Kart universe! I can’t express enough my deep appreciation towards @Nintendo for entrusting me with such a significant role in upholding the legacy of this cherished icon. (Continued below)

On her social media, Lin shared, “These characters dwarf us in size, but I feel incredibly humbled and still find it hard to accept. I hold a tremendous amount of admiration for all the Peaches that preceded me, particularly the one from my childhood. I’ll strive to make the most of every chance I receive, and I hope you’ve been having fun with the game!

In her post, Berzino expressed that she feels inspired by the outstanding voice actors who came before her in the gaming world, specifically Jen Taylor and Samantha Kelly. She mentioned that the gaming community owes them a significant debt of gratitude for their dedicated work in bringing these characters to life. Additionally, she expressed her aspiration to make the character proud, while humorously referencing the connection between the character being a fun guy and the term “fungi.” Lastly, Berzino expressed her appreciation towards Nintendo and Cup of Tea studios as she embarks on this journey.

The latest updates from Nintendo include changes, with the noteworthy shift being the replacement of Charles Martinet as the voice actor for Mario, Luigi, and Wario after nearly 30 years. After Martinet’s departure, Kevin Afghani announced that he had assumed the role just before the launch of Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
