As a seasoned movie critic who’s seen more films than I care to count, let me tell you that the upcoming CBS series “Watson” is shaping up to be quite intriguing! With Morris Chestnut stepping into the shoes of Dr. John Watson, and the tantalizing blend of medical mysteries and a strong investigative spine, it’s a fresh take on an age-old story that has fascinated audiences for over a century.
On January 26, 2025, the CBS show titled “Watson” will make its debut following the AFC Championship Game. You’ll be able to watch it not only on TV (CBS) but also stream it on Paramount+. Regular episodes will start airing from February 16 onwards.
Six months following the tragic demise of his friend and partner, Sherlock Holmes, at the hands of Moriarty, “Watson” is set. In this series, Morris Chestnut portrays Dr. John Watson, who returns to his medical profession, now leading a clinic specializing in treating unusual health conditions.
The plotline reveals that Watson’s past isn’t over yet – Moriarty and Watson are preparing to pen a fresh chapter in a tale that has captivated audiences for over a century. This new series, titled “Watson,” is a medical drama with a robust investigative backbone, featuring a contemporary reimagining of one of history’s most renowned detectives as he shifts his focus from crime-solving to unraveling medical enigmas.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m excited to share that this film boasts an impressive ensemble of talented actors. Alongside me on the screen will be Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann, and Rochelle Aytes. Can’t wait to see their performances!
