Watch out for this fake AI Fantastic Four post-credits scene with Franklin Richards & Doctor Doom

Currently playing in theaters, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” has sparked a flurry of discussions online, with significant plot points and sequences being widely shared – even a misleading rendition of the post-credit scene has surfaced on social media platforms.

With any fresh Marvel venture, it’s common to find rumors circulating on Reddit and Twitter prior to a film’s premiere. Some of these leaks are genuine, while others are fabricated. Once the movie debuts in theaters, it becomes necessary to mute various terms to steer clear of spoilers – even clips filmed in cinemas on its release day can potentially give away plot details.

Avoiding spoilers for the Fantastic Four movie has proven quite a challenge lately. Months back, a major plot point was accidentally revealed, and more recently, someone uploaded the entire mid-credits scene from an early screening online.

Two additional scenes after the movie credits have been circulating on the internet. One of them is genuine, while the other was produced artificially by an AI. Be advised, spoilers are coming up…

Fake Fantastic Four post-credits scene is made with AI

In the true end-scene, Sue Storm encounters a hooded individual kneeling before Franklin Richards, and he clutches a mask. This mysterious figure is revealed to be Doctor Doom, however, it’s important to note that we don’t hear his voice or catch a glimpse of Robert Downey Jr’s face.

On social media platform X/Twitter, a comparable clip produced with AI is gaining traction. In this rendition, Doom inquires of Franklin, “Can you tell me your name, lad?

Fear not, for I’m a close acquaintance of your dad,” he says, then unveils himself, introducing himself as “Victor.

Initially, Timeory uploaded this video on YouTube. It’s important to note that the YouTube channel explicitly states that the content is a “concept video made by fans” using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for its visuals and sounds, which were then edited by them.

Although some sources have attempted to deceive fans by reposting it, an instance of this occurred when neikosgamer shared it on X/Twitter, garnering almost 80,000 views.

In another twist, the actual event surpassed expectations! All you catch is a glimpse of him, not his face, which perfectly embodies the essence of a post-credit sequence – it’s designed to pique curiosity!

It’s great to see that folks are catching on fast. One person commented, “This is an artificial intelligence at work. They could have simply shown the real deal, but instead, they opted to spread false information through this app.

The video you’re watching is AI-generated, not a real post-credit sequence. In the mid-credits, Dr. Doom’s voice and appearance aren’t displayed, although some users felt it could have been more impactful with a scene along the lines of their suggestion.

As a gamer, I can’t help but wonder if adding Robert Downey Jr.’s character at the end of Fantastic Four would’ve been a game-changer, sparking endless discussions about the film. Instead, just a sneak peek of his costume sets up the stage for Avengers: Doomsday, making me eagerly anticipate what’s next!

One user pointed out that the actual event was far more impressive. All you get to see is just a glimpse of him, not even his face, which perfectly fits the purpose of an after-credit scene – it’s meant to be intriguing and enticing.
