Okay, so this is crazy! I was reading about this thing that happened in Pennsylvania – apparently, an 11-year-old kid was running from a bear, and it actually followed him inside a Family Dollar store! Can you believe it? The bear even jumped over the counter! I mean, seriously, a bear in a dollar store? That’s something you don’t see every day.
A bear ran into the store, causing a boy and the cashier to quickly hide. Security footage showed the bear leaping over the counter.
Cole Frazee explained that he was with his dad at a store and went outside to see how he was doing. That’s when he noticed a bear staring at him. He thought the bear would look away, but surprisingly, it began running towards him.
Frazee said he dashed into the store with the bear close behind. He ran through the aisles, trying to find a safe spot, and finally reached the cashier. Both he and the cashier jumped onto the counter to watch as the bear headed toward the back of the store. When the bear changed direction, they quickly ran outside and got into a car.

CBS released security camera footage showing the bear quickly returning to the store and jumping onto the counter. It remained inside for around ten minutes before exiting through the front doors. According to Frazee, he and his family stayed safely inside their locked car until the bear left.
According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, bears are currently very focused on finding food, and this could increase the chances of surprising encounters with them.
