Warzone update removes permanent Rebirth Island glitch from Resurgence

As a seasoned Warzone player who’s spent countless hours navigating Rebirth Island, I must admit my heart skipped a beat when I learned about the potential demise of the beloved “permanent Rebirth” glitch. It was a simple trick that allowed me to avoid Fortune’s Keep and Vondel like a long-lost relative at a family reunion.

Lately, numerous Call of Duty: Warzone players have been employing a persistent bug known as the “Rebirth” glitch in Resurgence mode, which lets them exclusively play Rebirth Island while bypassing both Fortune’s Keep and Vondel. However, it appears that this choice has now become a permanent disappearance.

Many players find the interface and layout of the Call of Duty HQ app challenging and perplexing, leading to a split within the gaming community.

In the end, on October 21st, a significant overhaul was implemented across Call of Duty, paving the way for Black Ops 6’s release. This update brought about a comprehensive revamp of the game’s menus, and there is a possibility that this cherished feature has been removed permanently.

Earlier, it was possible to find Rebirth Island duos or quads in your ‘Recently Played’ section using a clever method, which meant you wouldn’t need to interact with other maps. Similarly, you could also favor Fortune’s Keep or Vondel and only see those maps in your recent play history if you preferred them.

Following the Black Ops 6 update at COD HQ, the ‘Recent Game’ section now only displays the last game you’ve played. To start Warzone, you need to launch it separately and navigate to the mode selection menu. This means that you are no longer able to directly access a specific mode through the ‘Recent Game’ section.

It remains uncertain if the issue will be resolved following the release of Black Ops 6 and the integration of Warzone, potentially causing the glitch to reoccur. At present, it seems problematic for those seeking to bypass the other Resurgence maps.

Absolutely, there’s a possibility that the issue might reoccur at some point. Rest assured, we’ll provide an update as soon as it happens.

It’s yet to be determined how Warzone in Black Ops 6 will appear exactly. While we do know that a new map called Area 99 – Resurgence is on the horizon, it remains uncertain if this map will replace existing ones such as Rebirth Island, Vondel, and Fortune’s Keep.

As an ardent follower, I’m thrilled to share that Verdansk is slated to make a comeback sometime during the spring season of 2025. However, details about the interim state of Urzikstan and future developments in large-scale maps remain a mystery for now.
