Warner Bros. Won't Release Yet Another Finished Movie - Report

As a lifelong animation enthusiast who has witnessed the rise and fall of numerous projects, it’s always disheartening to see another promising film seemingly lost in the labyrinth of studio politics. The case of “Fixed” resonates with me deeply, given my fond memories of Genndy Tartakovsky’s work on Hotel Transylvania and his iconic television shows like Dexter’s Laboratory and Johnny Bravo.

It seems that Warner Bros. won’t be releasing their upcoming adult-themed animated film “Fixed” by Genndy Tartakovsky at this time, according to various reports. However, there is a possibility that the movie might still make its way to the big screen.

Earlier, Warner Bros. hadn’t distributed the live-action Batgirl and the animated movie Coyote Vs. Acme, both of which were fully produced. These films have been put on hold for a tax benefit as their parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, tries to restructure its operations. Currently, the company’s stock price is approximately $7, representing a 70% decrease over the past five years.

Originally, “Fixed” was slated for distribution by Warner Bros., but its rights have since reverted back to Sony Pictures Animation. There’s a possibility that Netflix may acquire it, potentially leading to the release of “Fixed.”

Initially, it was Puck News that broke the story about Warner Bros. deciding against releasing the movie titled Fixed. So far, the film studio has remained silent on this issue.

The show “Fixed” is classified as an adult-oriented animated comedy. It revolves around the life of a dog named Bull, who learns he’s going to be neutered. In a bid to make the most of his last 24 hours, he goes on a thrilling adventure. Voice acting for Bull is provided by Adam Devine, with an ensemble cast that includes Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, Bobby Moynihan, Fred Armisen, Beck Bennett, Michelle Buteau, and River Gallo.

Previously, Tartakovsky has been associated with the popular Hotel Transylvania animated series produced by Sony. Additionally, he is recognized for his contributions to the creation of Dexter’s Laboratory and Johnny Bravo cartoon shows.
