Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav’s 2024 Pay Rises 4% to Nearly $52 Million

In 2024, David Zaslav, president and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, saw a 4% increase in his compensation package, bringing it to approximately $51.9 million, as stated in their 2025 proxy filing submitted on Friday.

In 2023, Zaslav’s remuneration package was valued at approximately $49.7 million, marking a significant increase of around 26.5% compared to the previous year. His earnings amounted to $39.3 million in 2022, following an extraordinary payout of about $246.6 million in 2021, which encompassed $203 million in stock-option grants.

In the year 2024, Zaslav’s fixed salary amounted to $3 million. Additionally, he was granted stock awards valued at approximately $23.1 million, received bonus pay totaling $23.9 million, and earned extra compensation of $1.9 million under the category “all other”.

In the filing, it was disclosed that WBD’s other top executives’ pay for 2024 was listed alongside Zaslav’s: CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels received a flat $17 million, similar to his 2023 earnings; chief revenue and strategy officer Bruce Campbell’s compensation amounted to $19.8 million, representing an 8% increase; global streaming and games CEO and president J.B. Perrette earned $19.7 million, a decrease of 2%; and international president Gerhard Zeiler’s pay reached $14.8 million, marking an increase of over 11%.

The cash incentives and share grants designated for Zaslav and the other executives at WBD are contingent on achieving specific free cash flow goals.
