The expectations for Henry Cavill’s views on Space Marine 2 were running high, given his well-known enthusiasm and active participation in the Warhammer 40k fandom.

He is a lifelong player of the Warhammer 40k tabletop game and lore, and has expressed his love for the franchise on many occasions. He’s also heavily rumored to be involved in an upcoming 40k movie project, playing one of the main characters.

Yet, it remains unclear what part Henry Cavill will take on in the movie, or which element of Warhammer 40,000 the film will focus on. Some speculate that Cavill might portray a Space Marine, while others argue he would suit the Emperor of Mankind role exceptionally well, given his resemblance to the character as described in the 40k backstory. At any rate, we can only wait and see.

It has been speculated that others believe he may portray Horus Lupercal, the Emperor’s son and a character who led part of the Space Marines against him in revolt. Regardless of his role, Cavill’s participation is certain to draw significant attention to the Warhammer film.
