Warframe Jade Shadows: Constellations is now available for all platforms

Digital Extremes has released the next story update for Warframe, titled Jade Shadows: Constellations. It’s available to play for free on all platforms.

This update introduces Warframe’s first character that can be played in two different ways, along with other improvements. Warframe is now playable on Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox, Switch, iOS, Android, and PC. You can read my first impressions of the game on the PlayStation 5 Pro here. Digital Extremes has released details about the ‘Jade Shadows: Constellations’ update, including a gameplay trailer, which you can find below.

Warframe players can now experience ‘Jade Shadows: Constellations,’ a free new story chapter available on all platforms. This emotional quest puts you back in the role of the Stalker, a father determined to resolve a conflict between two versions of his son – a storyline inspired by action-packed anime. You’ll fight for control of the unique Warframe duo, Sirius & Orion, and battle their mentors Ryoku and Vena. The update also includes new Railjack missions, the 50th Prime Warframe (Styanax Prime), fresh cosmetic items, weapons, and other exciting additions.

According to Warframe Creative Director Rebecca Ford, the game draws inspiration from grand, epic sources, but ultimately connects with players through relatable human stories.

We saw Constellations as a special chance to raise the bar for ourselves and give players something truly exciting – returning to a fan-favorite character’s story with a completely new Warframe. It’s inspired by both heartwarming stories, like those of dedicated fathers, and the intense competition seen in anime. And this is just the beginning! We have plenty more planned for Warframe this year, so be sure to watch TennoCon in July to find out what’s next.

Additional details on new content arriving in Jade Shadows: Constellations:

Resolve a dispute between characters from different timelines in the new Warframe quest, Jade Shadows: Constellations. Continue Stalker’s story and learn more about his child as two opposing futures crash into the present day. Watch as Sirius and Orion – both versions of a powerful being – battle each other to survive. Check out the Warframe Quest guide for a complete list of what you need to do before starting.

After finishing the Quest, choose to learn from either Ryoku (Ash) or Vena (Garuda), two powerful Protoframe mentors. Then, jump into new Railjack missions at Uranus Proxima! You’ll get to pilot your chosen mentor’s unique spaceship, add them to your Railjack crew permanently, and eventually face off against the other mentor in a massive space battle.

The 65th Warframe features a unique dual-character system with Sirius and Orion – two powerful beings sharing one frame. You can instantly switch between them during battles. Playing as Sirius, you’ll use his scythe to attack enemies and create a safe zone for your teammates. As Orion, unleash powerful slashes and summon a black hole to pull in and destroy foes. Their ultimate ability combines both Warframes into a devastating aerial attack, wiping out anything in their path.

With this update, Styanax is now available as a Prime Warframe! This powerful warrior boasts boosted energy and shields, plus an extra mod slot. He’s joined by new Prime gear including the Afentis Speargun, Athodai Pistol, a unique Syandana, and Armor attachments. You can get Styanax and his Primes instantly from the in-game Market or earn them through gameplay. Learn more about Prime Access details in the FAQ.

Expand the Warframe universe with exciting new additions! Give the Warframe Dante a powerful new look with the Tytonis skin, and enhance Nidus’s combat effectiveness with updated abilities that improve his survivability. Explore new gear, including the Ryoku and Vena Protoframe hairstyles for your Operator/Drifter, and choose between the Pride or Wrath scythes. Discover four unique Atragraph Mod designs and master five new Incarnon weapons to further customize your arsenal.
