As a seasoned Warframe gamer with countless hours spent slicing through Grineer hordes and mastering the intricacies of my favorite weapons, I eagerly await the arrival of Warframe: 1999. The prospect of exploring new time periods and acquiring previously unobtainable gear has me practically salivating at the mouth.
An essential aspect of Warframe involves devising creative and impressive methods to defeat our adversaries. To excel, it’s crucial to obtain weapons tailored to your preferred gameplay approach, and the array of options is set to expand significantly in the near future.
In Warframe, venturing into the year 1999 marks a significant leap into the game’s upcoming developments. Players embark on a journey through time to unravel long-standing mysteries within the lore. This new temporal setting introduces an array of weapons and features not typically accessible in the Origin System.
However, what stands out among the crowd is subjective, considering individual preferences and selected specifications. To shed light on this matter, we reached out to our Community Director, Megan Everett, for her top picks as we approach the launch.
I find the Scaldra weapons quite entertaining, and I can’t imagine setting aside the Stug yet. While the Stug is an excellent weapon, I believe the Scaldra weapons will offer a unique, playful, and slightly whimsical experience.
As a fervent enthusiast, my thoughts too wander towards the upcoming Infested Lich weapons – the ones we’ve got in the pipeline. Though they’re not here just yet, the one we gave a sneak peek on the devstream has me particularly intrigued. It’s a melee weapon, and it feels like wielding a pizza cutter!
This upcoming update introduces several Infested Lich weapon types similar to familiar models we’ve encountered in the Origin System, with ten variations, plus three completely novel weapons.
In subtle, intriguing ways, the characteristics of these weapons should be consistent across the 1999 scenario and the game’s contemporary environment, and they could very well become among the most exciting in Warframe, according to Everett.
The Liches infected with a virus are distinct from the boy band; you’re not eliminating humans but rather this strange, virus-affected version of them attempting to conquer. Since they aren’t fully themselves and their weaponry mirrors that, I find it quite entertaining. I believe players will appreciate these unique characters.
The Vesper pistol received a great deal of positive feedback during the demonstration, which wasn’t unexpected but still pleasing. It seems that a well-crafted optic can significantly elevate a weapon from being ordinary to exceptional.
