While it’s a bit later than the originally predicted “early fall,” fans will soon be able to command ships and conquer their rivals at sea.

When TaleWorlds announced they’d be showing off the first gameplay for War Sails yesterday, everyone immediately wanted to know one thing: when the game would actually come out. After so many delays, hints, and predictions, most players expected bad news – likely another pushback of the release date. Some were even making jokes about how TaleWorlds had previously defined ‘early fall’.

Many viewers likely weren’t expecting much from the presentation. However, the video concluded with a surprising announcement: a release date of November 26, 2025. It seems the anticipation will soon be over.

With the release of War Sails just under a month away, we’re about to find out if the promised ability to control ships with two sets of sails will actually be in the game, and what kinds of vessels players will get to command. The recent preview showed exactly what was advertised: intense naval battles, including ramming opponents, taking over enemy ships, and even the danger of falling into freezing waters.

Honestly, I’m a little worried about accidentally setting my own ship ablaze with those flaming arrows – that one clip looked way too close for comfort! I’m really hoping TaleWorlds shows off a bit more gameplay, or even a new trailer, before War Sails drops next month. A little more hype wouldn’t hurt, you know?
