On March 4, the Super Mario Bros. Movie made its comeback in 4K Blu-ray with a special Walmart-only Limited Edition Steelbook. This offer may not last long, and it’s currently priced at $28 (originally $35). The design echoes the classic yellow Question Blocks.
In the aftermath of unveiling the latest version of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Walmart has disclosed another exclusive 4K Blu-ray title linked to a Nintendo game: Pokemon. The 2019 movie “Detective Pikachu” is set to release a Limited Edition Steelbook on April 29th. Pre-orders are now open at Walmart and Gruv, priced at $28 each.

In a twist of gaming history, not only Super Mario’s longtime adversary is gearing up for a new release, but so is Sonic the Hedgehog! The Limited Edition Steelbook for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is now available for preorder on Amazon and Walmart, with its official launch set for April 15. Interestingly, Amazon also offers an exclusive Shadow the Hedgehog-themed Limited Edition Steelbook, but due to high demand, it’s proving quite elusive in stock.
