As a huge One Piece fan, I’ve been eagerly awaiting Season 2 ever since the first season hit Netflix back in August 2023! The good news is the wait is almost over – we’re getting new episodes in March 2026! I’m so excited to see Tony Tony Chopper join the Straw Hats, and Mikaela Hoover (from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) is going to be voicing him, which is awesome. But here’s the really cool part: it sounds like we’ll be meeting another member of the crew much sooner than we did in the original manga and anime! I can’t wait to see how they adapt that!
Netflix shared the titles for the upcoming episodes of One Piece Season 2 on X and other social media. One title specifically excited fans who know the series’ backstory. Here’s a closer look:

The skull and crossbones emblem resembles the flag of the Rumbar Pirates, a crew who sailed the Grand Line long before Luffy started his quest to be Pirate King. The violin is a nod to Brook, the musician and later second-in-command of the Rumbars. Though Brook eventually joins Luffy’s crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, he appears quite different than he did during his time with the Rumbars. (Note: This contains minor spoilers for the series.)

Brook first appeared in One Piece during the Thriller Bark story arc. He’s the only remaining member of the Rumbar Pirates. Like the rest of his crew, he was originally killed in battle, but he was able to survive thanks to the Revive Revive Fruit. Unfortunately, because the Rumbar Pirates were destroyed in the dangerous Florian Triangle, Brook’s soul became separated from his body and didn’t rejoin it until after his body had decayed. This resulted in his current state: a living skeleton who cracks bone-related jokes and fights with the Straw Hat Pirates, often entertaining them with his music.

Filming for One Piece Season 3 has started, and fans are excited because four characters will have significantly larger roles this season.
The actor who will play Luffy’s brother, Ace, in the upcoming Netflix live-action ‘One Piece’ series has been revealed! While fans are excited, some are disappointed with one specific detail about the casting.
If you’re familiar with the live-action One Piece on Netflix, you might be surprised to see Brook appear so early in the story. The show introduces Brook earlier by showing us the Rumbar Pirates in flashbacks during the Reverse Mountain arc – specifically, when the whale Laboon is first introduced. In the original manga and anime, Brook wasn’t part of those flashbacks because the character hadn’t been created yet. This version of One Piece can now show Brook before he became a skeleton, which works well because we know he had a close bond with Laboon when the whale was young.
I’m not convinced we’ll see Skeleton Brook in the Netflix adaptation of One Piece because his story happens much later in the series. Still, I’m hopeful that the recent hint means we’ll get to see him as a fully human character. We’ll know for sure when One Piece Season 2 comes out on March 6, 2026.
