As a devoted admirer, I find myself compelled to share some recent developments within the VTuber community. Remarkably, several VTubers have chosen to part ways with VShojo, mere hours after Ironmouse’s departure from the organization. The reason? They claim that VShojo failed to honor a $500,000 pledge made to The Immune Deficiency Foundation – a cause close to many in our community.
On July 21, Ironmouse shocked the streaming world by announcing she was quitting VShojo.
In an angry YouTube broadcast, the live-streamer asserted that her management company was withholding from her a sum of $500,000 which she had earned during her record-breaking fundraising event, and instead should have donated this money to The Immune Deficiency Foundation.
After Ironmouse’s announcement of her departure, several other creators have also made public announcements about leaving VShojo.
VShojo is bleeding VTuber talent following Ironmouse allegations
In several updates on platform X, various VShojo-affiliated VTubers announced their departures. Interestingly, Kuro claimed that they made up their minds to part ways with the company more than a week prior to the Ironmouse disclosure.
As a gamer speaking candidly, let me clear the air: Contrary to some speculations, I won’t be hanging around here anymore. Eleven days past, I put in my papers and had that meeting. It’s all set now.
I hadn’t planned to share my decision until it was officially confirmed, but given the ongoing speculations, let me clarify: I am not going to stay here anymore. I submitted my resignation and handed over my leave contract 11 days ago, which we discussed during that meeting. The reason you still see the VShojo brand logo on my profile is because they have yet to remove it.

As a gamer, I’m simply biding my time until the contractual obligations are met and wrapped up. Guess what? That makes me an independent game developer now!
Projekt Melody also confirmed she was leaving the org.
She expressed that she had been exceptionally talented from the start, pouring all her effort into this competition. However, she’s heartbroken beyond belief about the outcome, something she could never have imagined having to say.
I held back on speaking, as I usually feel nervous and struggle with finding the right words.
However, yes, I am moving on from vShojo.
I was one of the original talents here, pouring my heart and soul into this community. But I am incredibly upset about what transpired, and never imagined I’d find myself in a position where I’d have to say these words. 💔

Amalee also got involved, disclosing that she was planning to end her contract with VShojo and operate as an individual VTuber instead.
My content remains unaltered since I spent 18 years independent before joining VShojo, and I still own my intellectual property. I extend my affection to the other talents; may you all thrive. Thank you immensely for your ongoing support as we move forward together.
Starting today, I am ending my agreement with VShojo right away and resuming my role as an autonomous VTuber and content producer. Rest assured, the nature of my content remains unaltered, given that I was self-governing for 18 years prior to joining VShojo, and I maintain ownership of my intellectual property. My affection for what I do continues undiminished.

Well, here’s another spin on that statement, written from a gamer’s perspective:
Hey folks, it seems like there’s more to the VShojo story than meets the eye. Kson recently posted some pretty harsh words about them, alleging they prioritize “money” over everything else. It’ll be interesting to see how this unfolds!
Reflecting on my past self praising VShojo as an excellent company now leaves me chuckling, it’s almost comical. I can hardly believe I fell for the easily swallowed untruths.
Kson quitting on live stream is not on the bingo card damn Vshojo

Kson boldly declared her intention to leave the company during a live broadcast with its CEO, known as Makino. She also asserted that she had not been compensated for work done since October 2024. Notably, Makino acknowledged awareness of unpaid wages for several Japanese artists in the industry.
Despite VShojo’s financial success according to reports, Kson demanded payment of what she is owed. He wasn’t able to provide a satisfactory explanation on how she could receive that money.
Makino clarified that funds from both Japanese and English talents were pooled together, implying that no one receives payment unless there’s available money in this shared wallet. This means it’s possible that VShojo doesn’t have the promised funds for these VTubers. Furthermore, he suggested that if all the talent were to leave, VShojo could potentially disintegrate entirely.
Currently, at the point when this is being written, VShojo hasn’t addressed the accusations or the artists choosing to part ways with them.
