Vitality Humiliates Astralis in cadiaN's Debute with 13-0 Map Win

As a seasoned CS:GO enthusiast with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the opening day of BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 has left me utterly astounded! The performance of Team Vitality against Astralis was nothing short of spectacular. I’ve seen some crushing defeats in my time, but a 13-0 on Inferno? That’s a sight to behold!

In the heat of the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports scene, the Astralis captain swap at the last minute had the community in an uproar, leading to a media day boycott and an open letter from other In-Game Leaders (IGLs). As such, everyone was eagerly watching Casper “cadiaN” Møller during one of the opening matches in BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 Group B, where Astralis squared off against Team Vitality.

On Astralis’ map pick of Inferno, things went pear-shaped, and some might even call it a bit of esports karma.

Vitality Humiliates Astralis in cadiaN's Debute with 13-0 Map Win

Team Vitality had an overwhelming advantage on the CT side, crushing Astralis heavily on their chosen map, leading 12-0 in the initial half.

In the course of the switch, with a daunting 13-0 score ahead, Team Vitality remained relentless and unforgiving. They took their time strategizing and setting up the explosive device, eventually winning the pistol round during the second half.

This translates to: Team Vitality completely dominated Astralis, resulting in a rare 13-0 scoreline. Such an outcome is seldom seen, particularly in top-tier CS2 competitions. Both FlameZ and ZywoO played exceptionally well, but take it from me, or better yet, watch this 4k from The Chosen One below for confirmation.
