As a seasoned CS:GO enthusiast with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 Group Stage was nothing short of exhilarating! The nail-biting encounter between Team Vitality and Team Liquid was a true testament to the skill and determination these teams possess.
The final phase of the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 concluded in a thrilling manner, featuring an electrifying encounter between Team Vitality and Team Liquid. This was a Winners Match within Group B because earlier, Astralis had been defeated 2-0 by them, with an embarrassing 13-0 round included, while Team Liquid had stunned Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) spectators by winning 2-1 against Team Spirit.

It was, however, closer than a 2-0 would suggest, with one map going into overtime, and the other requiring Vitality to pull off a huge 8-round comeback.
Initially, Team Liquid, led by Russell “Twistzz” Van Dulken, held a 7-5 advantage at halftime on the attacking side of the map (Anubis, chosen by Liquid). However, when teams switched sides, Vitality took control, scoring seven rounds to Liquid’s five in the second half. This tight contest resulted in an overtime scenario. In the extra period, Team Vitality displayed a surge of energy, securing four consecutive wins to clinch victory.
Witness The Chosen One, also known as Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, as he delivers three impressive kills using his reliable AWP, effectively thwarting Liquid’s advance and securing a 16-12 victory on Anubis through strong defense.
On the second map, Nuke (chosen by Vitality), Team Liquid made an impressive debut, taking a dominant 9-3 lead on the CT side. This strong performance had many spectators, including me, anticipating that the next map (Mirage) would be theirs to win.
In the Pistol Round, Liquid secured a win to extend their lead to 10-3. However, Vitality thwarted Liquid’s attempt to clinch victory and launched a remarkable comeback. This resurgence was primarily fueled by exceptional team defense strategies led by Dan “apEX” Madesclaire on the CT side, as well as some breathtaking individual performances. My personal highlight was when Vitality’s Entry Fragger, Shahar “flameZ” Shushan, achieved an ace in the 20th round.
In a thrilling turnaround, Vitality managed to overpower Liquid, coming back from an initial deficit of 10-3 on the map Nuke. They eventually clinched the match with a final score of 13-11, securing them a 2-0 series victory.
In the semifinals of BLAST Fall Final 2024, Vitality will square off against either G2 Esports or Team Spirit. Meanwhile, Team Liquid will clash with FaZe Clan in the quarterfinals, and the victor from that matchup will advance to battle NAVI.
