Vision Quest ‘testing multiple endings’ and Wanda may finally return to the MCU

Following playful hints in Agatha All Along, it’s possible that the upcoming series, Vision Quest, could potentially reintroduce Wanda Maximoff to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as suggested by recent news.

In the series WandaVision, Wanda used magic to give birth to two boys, William (also known as Wiccan) and Tommy (also known as Speed). However, these children were erased from existence when Wanda broke the spell over Westview.

In Doctor Strange 2, she attempted to reconnect with her children across different universes by utilizing the Darkhold, an ominous tome containing powerful ancient incantations. Ultimately, it appeared as though she gave up her life to annihilate this artifact, getting crushed beneath Mount Wundagore, and since then, she has not been seen again.

There’s been much debate about whether she’ll feature in Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars, but it’s possible that she might make an appearance in the storyline titled Vision Quest instead.

Vision Quest may have an ending with Wanda

As per a recent report by insider Daniel Richtman, the creators of “Vision Quest” are currently trying out various conclusions. One possibility includes Ghost Agatha and Billy, while another focuses on Wanda.

In line with Wanda’s bond with the character, it seems fitting that Vision Quest could serve as her return storyline. The series is said to explore White Vision’s journey to Madripoor, seeking his lost memories and humanity. Given that he absorbed the original Vision’s memories during WandaVision, it’s plausible that he would be preoccupied with thoughts of Wanda.

In the finale of Agatha All Along, Billy and Agatha’s spirit departed in search of his missing twin brother, potentially leading them towards Wanda.

Following the finale, numerous unanswered questions about Wanda have lingered in fans’ minds, as stated by Kevin Feige during his interview with Omelette in November 2024.

“So, all I can say is we are excited to find out when and how Scarlet Witch can return.”

Earlier this year, it seemed like Olsen decided not to be part of the movie ‘Doomsday’, as she informed The Hollywood Reporter that she was heading back to the United States to work on different film projects since the new production has been taking place in the UK and Bahrain.

Furthermore, she expressed her sentiment thusly: “I’m truly grateful to have portrayed a role for more than a decade, and I’m eager to continue playing it in the future.

However, the animated aspect seems like an alternate reality to me, and I’m not entirely sure how it aligns with our work. Yet, I’ve thoroughly appreciated being able to portray her character for a decade, and I remain grateful for the creative chances I’ve been given.
