Vertical Acquires ‘The Twin,’ Sets July Release Date (EXCLUSIVE) – Film News in Brief

As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that starting July 1, I’ll get to witness J.C. Coler’s chilling horror masterpiece, “The Twin.” This is after Vertical secured the North American distribution rights for this film. Can’t wait!

Loghan Donovan, who stars in “Magnum P.I.”, as well as Robert Longstreet from “The Fall of the House of Usher”, and Aleksa Palladino known for her role in “The Penguin” are part of this ensemble.

The movie is based on Irish legends and portrays the story of Nicholas, a character played by Donovan. As he grapples with mourning, he encounters enigmatic apparitions resembling himself. Palladino takes on the role of Charlie, Nicholas’s wife, while Longstreet interprets Dr. Beaumont, his psychiatrist.

In a more informal tone: The movie we’re talking about is inspired by Irish myths. It tells the tale of Donovan’s character, Nicholas, who loses someone dear and starts seeing ghostly versions of himself. Palladino acts as Charlie, his wife, while Longstreet plays Dr. Beaumont, the psychiatrist helping him out.

J.C.’s skillful handling of the atmosphere, coupled with Logan’s intense and imposing portrayal, has led to an eerie, heart-stopping narrative that horror enthusiasts will appreciate. We are excited to bring this film to North American viewers this summer,” said Tony Piantedosi, Vertical’s senior vice president of acquisitions, in a statement.

The list of producers encompasses Doler, Donovan, Alexander Jeffery, Paul Petersen, Brittany Fallow, and Chris Alan Evans.

Following this lengthy voyage, I’m immensely proud to unveil ‘The Twin’ to horror enthusiasts across the globe,” Doler, who is directing his first film, stated. “This is a tale about the hidden aspects of our lives that somehow manage to resurface.
