In the United Kingdom and Ireland, Sony’s film “Venom: The Last Dance” made a strong start at the box office, earning approximately £4.3 million (or $5.6 million) during its opening weekend, as reported by Comscore’s data.
In the second week of its release, I was thrilled to see Universal’s enchanting animated feature “The Wild Robot” continued to captivate audiences, raking in an impressive £1.9 million, pushing its total earnings to a remarkable £6.4 million. Meanwhile, Paramount’s chilling horror sequel “Smile 2” held strong in its second week, too, with a £1 million haul, bringing its overall box office earnings up to a spine-tingling £4 million.
In the third week of its release, “Transformers One” from Paramount earned the fourth spot, raking in approximately £377,581 (total earnings: £3.4 million), while “The Apprentice” from Studiocanal continued to hold a top five position during its second week, bringing in £372,778 and amassing a total of £1.5 million.
In its eighth week, Warner Bros.’ film “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” continued to impress by earning an additional £367,938, bringing its total earnings to a staggering £25.3 million. Meanwhile, the horror movie “Terrifier 3,” distributed by Signature Entertainment, held strong in seventh place during its third week, raking in £269,971 and accumulating a total of £2.8 million.
In its premiere, “The Room Next Door” (produced by Warner Bros.) earned £239,043 and ranked eighth. Meanwhile, “The Substance,” distributed by Mubi, amassed an additional £150,604 in its sixth week, bringing its total earnings to approximately £3.4 million. Furthermore, “Joker: Folie A Deux,” from Warner Bros., reached a staggering £10.1 million in its fourth week after taking in £144,712 and placing tenth.
