Since Venom 3 is currently available for streaming on Netflix, it’s looking doubtful that a Venom 4 will be released anytime soon.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase that as: “The original Venom movie raked in an astonishing $856 million, followed by Let There Be Carnage earning $507 million worldwide, and The Last Dance bringing in $477 million. With production budgets between $100-120 million for each film, all three titles were profitable ventures.

The story of the third movie concludes Eddie Brock’s character arc, providing a satisfying resolution to his conflict with Venom. This closure suggests that the creators might be planning to explore new stories or characters in future installments rather than revisiting the same duo again soon.

Will there be another Venom movie?

It’s unlikely that we’ll see Venom 4 in the near future as the creative minds responsible for the films, including writer-director Kelly Marcel and actor Tom Hardy, have already concluded the narrative they intended to share.

In a conversation with IGN, Marcel, responsible for penning and directing The Last Dance, expressed that from the outset, he and Tom conceived that the Eddie/Venom narrative would unfold across three movies, culminating in the third installment.

Hardy further asserts that the story presented in “The Last Dance” is entirely a product of both his and Kelly’s imaginations, and every relevant detail has been meticulously selected and presented. In other words, it contains everything there is to tell from this perspective.

Another issue is the inconvenient fact that the main character met an untimely demise in the third film, but perhaps there’s a loophole or alternative solution…

What could happen in a potential Part 4?

In the finale of Venom 3, there’s a shattered test tube left behind, which once held an alien symbiote specimen. This implies that Venom might reappear, bonding with a fresh host, or possibly reuniting with Eddie.

In another version, Part 3 introduces the malevolent symbiote character, Knull. According to Kelly Marcel, this figure has the potential to have his own standalone story, as she stated to GamesRadar: “We’ve always been intrigued by Knull. He’s not only the originator of the symbiotes, but he’s also much too substantial to be introduced and then disappear. So, you can’t make a symbiote movie without him.

In essence, this is merely an introductory glimpse into his work. It serves as a sneak peek at his possible future filmmaking endeavors, much like how Thanos was gradually introduced in the Marvel films.

Although there’s a small possibility that we might witness Tom Hardy reprising the Venom role in another director’s film, provided his dream of squaring off against Spider-Man comes true.
