Varlet 2nd trailer showcases the villains and gameplay systems

I just got a peek at the freshly-released promotional trailer for Varlet, straight from FuRyu’s Japanese YouTube channel! This latest video sheds some light on the intricacies of the game, including the gameplay mechanics and the sinister antagonists that players will encounter.

In the opening scene, we meet the initial group of six characters who have been revealed to be both antagonists and leaders that our protagonist and allies must engage in combat with.

  • Charge Break – Interrupts Skill attacks
  • Skill Interrupt – Gaining a turn by moving up in the action order

  • Momentary Time – A relentless combo attack exclusive to Ruler mode
  • Triad Parameter – The player’s actions and choices will determine the protagonist’s personality, and this will also affect his available battle skills and future dialogue choices
  • Youth – You can choose to deepen relationships with any given partner, but doing it with multiple partners can also cause trouble events
