Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Is Finally Rated By ESRB, May Release Soon

Approximately five years back, Paradox Interactive unveiled Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the long-anticipated follow-up to 2004’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. However, due to several setbacks and a change in developers, eager fans had to endure more time. Yet, it seems that the World of Darkness is becoming a bit lighter, hinting at a potential soon arrival for Bloodlines 2.

According to the Entertainment Software Rating Board, Bloodlines 2 has been given a Mature (M) rating. This could potentially signal that a release date for the game might be announced soon. The ESRB’s description of the storyline suggests players will take on the role of helping two vampires recover their lost memories and powers, all while dealing with an uprising among the undead.

In Bloodlines 2, it seems that the Mature rating is primarily influenced by the intense fight scenes, where players can brutally defeat adversaries through both physical and supernatural abilities. This includes decapitations, claw attacks, and breaking necks. Remarkably, your character in the game can sustain themselves by feeding on human non-player characters (NPCs). Interestingly, the ESRB also highlighted some of the game’s dialogue as being sexually suggestive.

In this game, you’ll have the power to manage an ancient vampire character, customizing aspects like gender, appearance, vampire clan, and special abilities to suit your preference. Developers The Chinese Room have hinted that human Non-Player Characters (NPCs) can be romanced in Bloodlines 2. However, regardless of whether you decide to portray your vampire as a lover, they’ll need to consume blood to stay alive.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
