TenZ reveals overpowered Tejo abilities
Tejo’s skills are a blend of Breach, Brimstone, and Sova. His setup begins with an Initiator kit that includes a Stealth Drone and a grenade for Special Delivery, offering both damage and recon capabilities. However, it’s his Guided Salvo that’s really generating excitement.
The placement system functions similar to scattershot smoke, except rather than producing clouds, it showers the region with rockets, inflicting 70 points of damage every half second (with a maximum of three instances). This compels the adversaries to retreat.

Instead of just fading out enemies, it annihilates them, dealing 60 points of damage every quarter of a second. If you’re unlucky enough to be in its path for a full second, well, let’s just say it spells the end for you. This lethal force has sparked discussions among players, who are advocating for a reduction in the damage output to make the game more balanced and fair.
Martin ‘Anderzz’ Schelasin, a former Fnatic coach, commented (previously on Twitter), “He requires balancing,” he said. “There seems to be a consensus among top coaches and analysts that this has gone too far.
On Reddit, fans are advocating for adjustments as well. In a post titled “Tejo requires significant toning down,” one fan commented, “The only troublesome skill is the missiles. In no situation should it be possible to destroy so much utility without cost. It needs either a reduction in power or damage, or both, and a decrease in the ability to destroy a lockdown from a safe distance.
Considering Riot’s hesitancy to modify powerful kits, particularly Neon, in the past, they are expected to maintain their stance on the agent and observe his performance at the upcoming VCT Kickoff events later this month.
Valorant devs speak on Tejo balance
According to these experts, it’s intended that Tejo exhibits a strong presence within the game, encouraging players to invest both in the game itself and any cosmetic items the character might carry.
However, Riot Games developer Ryan Cousart swiftly dismissed doubts among the fans, responding sharply to a critic on X platform, citing prior characters as his defense.

As a gamer, let me tell you, Tejo was quite the challenging character to strike a balance with. However, I believe we’ve found a sweet spot where he starts off feeling extremely oppressive at the beginning, but it’s that pressure that truly tests both my allies and opponents in terms of how they strategically use his unique abilities.

Initially, when Yoru was launched, it failed to impress many players; it required numerous adjustments before reaching the competitive level he currently holds.
It appears that Tejo is set to make quite an impactful debut in Valorant during patch 10.00, leaving his adversaries in awe with some powerful moves.
I’d highly recommend giving a shot to top players’ crosshair configurations, such as TenZ’s setup. It could potentially take my gaming skills to the next level with Tejo!
