As a long-time fan of esports, particularly Valorant, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the news that Ava ‘florescent’ Eugene is reportedly joining APEKS for the upcoming VCT EMEA season. This move marks a significant milestone not just for florescent, but for the entire esports community, as she becomes the first Game Changers player to join a tier 1 roster.
Noted Valorant prodigy, Ava ‘Florescent’ Eugene, is said to have struck a deal to affiliate with APEKS, a significant step as it would make her the initial Game Changers member to be part of a top-tier team.
As reported by Sheep Esports, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) from Game Changers has verbally agreed to team up with APEKS, set to compete in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA season ahead.
In the Shopify Rebellion tournament, a standout performer of Vietnamese-Canadian descent claimed victories in the Game Changers championships for the years 2023 and 2024.
As per the report, Florescent showed exceptional performance during APEKS tryouts. Moreover, her achievements in Game Changers will significantly influence any team selection process.
🚨 It appears that the two-time VCT Game Changers Champion, known as florescent, is reportedly close to signing with Apeks for the 2025 VCT Season.

As a skilled player specializing in Jett, they shattered the previous record for most kills in a single series during the 2023 World Championship finals, tallying an impressive 112 kills.
Florescent to join tier 1 team
It’s hardly questionable that she’s exceptionally gifted among the talents offered by Game Changers. If the transfer happens, she’ll get an opportunity to demonstrate her skills against top-tier competitors.
After winning the 2024 championship, streamer tarik suggested florescent was ready to step up.

The almost complete APEKS team from MOLSI, AvovA, and hype is looking to add another player to their roster, and the explosive power that Florescent could bring would be a significant advantage.
Making such a decision would endorse Riot’s Game Changers program as well, which is designed to provide an opportunity for players who are not male to excel and showcase their talents.
In 2024, the final of the Game Changers tournament, which featured women’s matches, set a new record for most-watched events by drawing in excess of 450,000 live viewers at its peak. As fluorescent’s team emerged victorious and took home the trophy.
At the gathering, her fellow player, known as meL, publicly addressed criticisms concerning trans athletes participating in teams, stating “We, my teammates, and all the rivals present here, are backing and encouraging EVERY competitor taking part in this event.
It’s rather distressing when transphobes disguise their bigotry by claiming they care for women, as it appears to be a manifestation of misogyny. To all trans/nb players out there, please know that you are valued and welcomed. May those individuals find compassion within themselves and cease projecting their negative attitudes onto you. You deserve to thrive in existence.
