UTA Signs Big Picture Cinema Group (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned film buff with a penchant for unraveling the intricacies of the silver screen, I can’t help but be enthralled by the latest development in the cinematic universe – UTA joining forces with Big Picture Cinema Group. The fusion of these two powerhouses promises to bring forth a symphony of creativity and financial prowess that will undoubtedly reshape the landscape of global filmmaking.

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to announce my new partnership with the Canadian powerhouse, Big Picture Cinema Group. This collaboration extends across various aspects including financing, deal-making, sales, distribution, and strategic advice. I can’t wait to see the magic we’ll create together on the big screen!

The UTA Independent Film Group, known for its expertise in financing, selling, distributing, and marketing films globally, along with offering advice on both scripted and unscripted content, has been chosen as Big Picture’s main collaborator within the agency.

Team Big Picture comprises seasoned film and TV producers and investors who boast impressive past achievements. This dynamic group is headed by Jayce Barriero, Jared Zhang, Jacky Lai, and Graem Luis.

Barriero, president and co-founder of Big Picture, stated, “UTA’s diverse skills span the various sectors we’re involved in, and they wholeheartedly endorse our commitment to excellence, creativity, and community. We look forward to collaborating with them to discover potential and possibilities within our growing portfolio.”

In simpler terms, the upcoming movie from Big Picture is titled “Night Comes,” a survival horror thriller. This film will star Dafne Keen, recognized for her roles in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” “Logan,” and “The Acolyte,” as well as Samantha Lorraine, known for appearances in “Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado,” “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah,” and “The Walking Dead.” Jay Hernandez, who has worked on films such as “Hostel,” “Suicide Squad,” “Magnum PI,” is directing this film, marking his first feature directorial project.

“Under the ominous shadow of a world-altering disaster, ‘Night Comes’ unfolds, where humanity hangs precariously on the edge. Amidst the chaos, two sisters miraculously evade the catastrophe, yet their respite is brief as they are drawn into a harrowing fight for survival. Their mission, should they choose to accept it, carries the weight of mankind’s destiny. ‘Big Picture’ promises an edge-of-your-seat adventure reminiscent of ‘Birdbox’ and ‘The Descent.'”

As a devoted cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that I’m part of an extraordinary team bringing a new film to life. This production is a joint effort by Big Picture partners Barriero and Lai, alongside Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick from Impossible Dream Entertainment. Notable collaborators include Redick, who has worked on critically acclaimed films like “Get Out,” “Day Shift,” and “BlacKkKlansman,” and Yvette Yates Redick, whose credits include “Day Shift” and an upcoming project titled “Lost & Found in Cleveland.”
