In the span of the Fast & Furious movies, Vin Diesel’s character Dominic Toretto has consistently emphasized that family holds the greatest value. Characters like Letty and “Little B” are literal family members to Dom, being his wife and son respectively. Yet, Dom considers the rest of his team as family too. Though some characters have been present for a longer duration than others, Dom and his crew have shared many experiences over the course of this long-lasting series. This is why they all seem so bonded together.
In most “Fast & Furious” films, characters are usually divided into smaller groups. This results in less interaction between many members of the team. While all the characters often gather at a barbecue by the end of the movies, it seems like Dom only interacts with some of his crew during this time. It’s hoped that “Fast & Furious 11” will address this issue as Dom is supposed to consider them family. Therefore, it would be fitting for Dom to spend more quality time with his crew in Fast & Furious 11.
Dominic Toretto Barely Interacts With The Rest Of The Fast Family Except For Letty
Dom Has Hardly Any Scenes With Some Fast & Furious Characters
It might seem that Dom spends a lot of time discussing his deep affection for his crew in the Fast & Furious series, leading one to believe he knows them quite well. However, in reality, Dom doesn’t interact with most of his crew as much as it appears on screen. While he shares many scenes with Letty, given their marital bond, he has had minimal interactions with other crew members in the more recent Fast & Furious films.
In the latest installment of the Fast franchise, Fast X, Dom starts off with his team at the outset. However, following a thrilling event in Rome, the characters disperse into separate groups. Consequently, for much of the film, Dom is primarily alongside his son and brother, Jakob Toretto. It’s heartening to witness Dom on a mission with his son, yet it’d be delightful to catch more interactions between him and other team members like Roman, Tej, Ramsey, and Han.
Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto Has An Obvious Problem Without Paul Walker’s Brian
Dom Was Always The Closest With Brian
In more recent installments of the Fast & Furious series, Dom has primarily appeared alongside Letty or the movie’s antagonists. However, this wasn’t a consistent pattern in the past, as he had a strong bond with Brian O’Connor, played by Paul Walker. Unfortunately, following Walker’s untimely passing in 2013, the storyline of Brian was rewritten out of the Fast & Furious franchise. Since Furious 7, Dom has taken center stage within the series. This development follows logically, but it is also regrettable as Dom didn’t have significant relationships with many other characters beyond Letty and Brian.
It’s clear that Brian was more connected with characters such as Roman and Tej compared to Dom. Despite the recent movies attempting to make fans think all crew members are extremely close, it’s evident that Dom doesn’t seem to have a strong bond with many characters within the Fast & Furious universe. This is unfortunate, but Fast & Furious 11 has the potential to address this issue since it marks the final installment in the series. Here’s hoping the eleventh film addresses this problem effectively.
Fast & Furious 11 Must Give Dominic Toretto More Time With The Other Characters
All The Characters Need To Come Together In Fast & Furious 11
Despite the apparent demise of Roman, Tej, Ramsey, and Han at the end of Fast X, it’s highly probable that they will live through this ordeal and reappear in the final movie. Given their roles in Dom’s crew, it seems fitting for them to reunite and collaborate on a mission to defeat Dante. The previous films in the series have seen many characters separated, making it crucial for Fast & Furious 11 to gather everyone together once more.
If all the Fast & Furious 11 cast members collaborate effectively, it means Dom will have more opportunities to interact with characters such as Roman, Tej, Ramsey, and Han. Before the series concludes, these interactions could strengthen the bond between Dom’s crew members, emphasizing their familial connection. Consequently, a lack of screen time shared among many characters in the Fast & Furious saga can potentially be addressed and rectified by the final film.
