In the latest Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) Pocket meta, a specific deck that primarily consists of two identical Pokemon cards has emerged victorious in a tournament.
In any Trading Card Game, the most successful decks frequently evolve since fresh cards get introduced or players discover innovative strategies that can disrupt an apparently invincible setup.
At present, an exceptional Pokemon TCG Pocket deck, centered entirely around the powerful Pachirisu, has emerged victorious in a competition against nearly 200 other competitors, cementing its status as the ultimate Pocket tournament champion.
Pachirisu ex can destroy any deck by itself
A user on the PTCGP Reddit forum shared an image of a winning deck from a play.limitless.com tournament where approximately 200 players competed, accompanied by the comment: “I really enjoy the strategy this latest expansion has brought about!
The displayed image showcases the complete set of 20 cards, a fact that intrigued the players not just due to the achievement of winning a tournament, but mainly because most of the utilized cards were Trainer cards.
Anyone see this winner of an almost 200 person tournament?

In this deck, majority of the cards are either Items, Supporters, or Tools. However, the sole Pokémon present is Pachirisu EX, and it’s responsible for eliminating all enemy Pokémons with just two cards in its possession.
Despite appearing unusual, this approach has been growing in use following the introduction of fresh Trainer cards with the Space-Time Smackdown expansion. Many players are experimenting with refining it by swapping cards or employing various Pokémon rather than Pachirisu ex.

1. The first user mentioned they have a nearly identical deck except for replacing Cyrus and Sabrina with Misty, and substituting Pachirisu ex with Articuno ex.
2. Another user shared they played a similar version recently (with Giovanni instead of Mars and Red Card), which effectively countered some Darkrai ex decks, making it enjoyable to play!
The primary objective of this ‘rush’ approach is to achieve your victory goal using cards from your starting deck, as a player pointed out that it’s statistically more probable when the deck isn’t overflowing with fundamental Pokémon and their advancements.
In this game’s setup, you’ll always receive a minimum of one fundamental creature in your starting hand. But if you’re employing an evolutionary chain, there’s a chance that your Basic creature might be in your hand while your Stage 1 or Stage 2 Pokémon cards could be at the bottom of your deck, potentially leaving you in a predicament.
Using a Pachirisu EX in the Active position gives you an advantage, as trainer cards are used to stock your opponent’s field instead. Despite some players underestimating this strategy due to fewer Pokémon, they often find themselves still losing in the end.
This deck I faced was almost identical, and I truly believed I’d win, but on what should have been my victory turn, I was dealt a harsh blow by Mars instead,” the disappointed user expressed.
So long as the present meta remains stable, this competitor is likely to perform well in future matches. Therefore, players with a few Pachirisu ex cards could consider trying it out during the ongoing Space-Time Smackdown Emblem tournament.
