As a dedicated Destiny 2 gamer, I’ve been blown away by the immense power surge in my Arc-focused character builds thanks to the Episode Heresy update. And let me tell you, the competitive spirit of the Guardian Games in 2025 has taken things to an entirely new level!
Except for Wendigo GL3 temporarily unavailable in Nightfall drops, it’s hard to come by Arc-type Heavy Grenade Launchers. Luckily, Hullabaloo is available now, and you have until Guardian Games concludes on April 1 to acquire top-tier versions of it.
Instead of solely relying on Heavy GLs for boss damage in the Heresy game meta, they can also effectively clear groups of enemies. Since Hullabaloo lacks some crucial single-target DPS abilities like Bait and Switch, it’s wiser to focus on its inherent strengths when building your setup.
Specifically for Warlocks, who often use Chaos Reach for heavy boss damage, Hullabaloo is an excellent choice. Here’s what you should pay attention to when considering it.
Hullabaloo PvE & PvP god rolls – Meta analysis
PVP God Roll | PVE God Roll |

As a gamer, I can’t wait to light up my PvE add-clear game like a festive Christmas tree with Voltshot and Chain Reaction! The Voltshot will work perfectly with my Arc subclass fragments and Heresy’s seasonal Artifact, while Chain Reaction will pile on extra Area of Effect (AoE) damage. This means I can easily clear out any tightly packed room with just one or two rounds!
If you’re keen on testing out a one-target attack, the Envious Assassin paired with One for All isn’t bad at all. While it might not be as handy as Bait and Switch, the requirement of striking three distinct targets to boost damage is incredibly achievable with a Heavy GL.
In competitive player versus player (PvP) gameplay, the Impulse Amplifier with Vorpal Weapon and any speed-enhancing secondary perks tends to be a popular choice. However, if you’re here primarily seeking an elite Heavy Grenade Launcher for the Crucible, the Cataphract GL3 from Trials of Osiris is generally considered the best option available.
The event called Hullabaloo has concluded, but if you’re interested in analyzing other Guardian Games weapon types, take a look at the “god rolls” guides for The Title and Keraunios instead.
