As a passionate admirer of the revamped world of Oblivion Remastered, I’ve noticed that while many quests are straightforward, some can prove challenging for fellow players. One such challenge lies within the realm of the Thieves Guild. To help you navigate this intricate mission, here is a guide on how to conquer the Independent Thievery quest.
This journey through the Thieves’ ranks takes a considerable amount of time and can be rather complex due to its unique structure, unlike most other quests. Yet, it is essential for membership in the Thieves Guild as you progress.
Or:
The Thieves’ journey you embark on requires patience, as it spans across your entire rise through their ranks and is more complicated than usual due to its distinct structure compared to other quests. However, finishing this quest is compulsory for the Thieves Guild.
How to Complete the Independent Thievery Quest
Upon successfully finishing the May the Best Thief Win quest in Oblivion Remastered and gaining entry into the Thieves Guild, you’ll embark on an Independent Thieving journey. At first, it might appear that all you need to do is swipe valuable goods and offload them to a fence within the guild. However, once you’ve delivered the specified items as per the quest, you may notice that the progress does not update.
As a cunning thief in Oblivion Remastered, I’ve noticed that Independent Thievery is closely tied to the other Thieves Guild quests. To pull off those high-value heists, it’s essential to first complete the tasks that come before the Independent Thievery quest gets updated subtly, raising the bar. Here’s a rundown of all the jobs you’ll get access to during my upcoming Independent Thievery escapade.

Where to Find More Valuables in Oblivion Remastered

In the Independent Theft mission, there are no restrictions on what or where you can steal, with one exception – stealing from Thieves Guild property is off-limits. As you advance through the quest, the items you’ll need to pilfer will become increasingly valuable. Here are some suggestions for locating valuable loot for the Independent Theft mission in Oblivion Remastered.
- Check the wine cellars, which can be in different houses. One of the most valuable wines you will find in the cellar of Castle Skingrad.
- At night, the Market District is a great place to steal valuables. Most stores do not have complex locks, so you will be able to open them.
- Focus on finding Valuables, Potions, and other light items. Although armor and weapons can be worth quite a lot of Gold, due to their weight, you will not be able to carry much of them.
