The City Safari refers to periodic Pokemon Go activities held across various global cities.
During the previous year, City Safari made its presence felt in Tainan (Taiwan), Jakarta (Indonesia), Incheon (South Korea), Hong Kong (China), and Sao Paulo (Brazil).
On this occasion, we now have confirmation of four additional cities, and here’s everything you need to be aware of prior to its commencement.

City Safari 2025 tickets
In every city, there will be unique tickets available for attendees. People can opt for either a single-day pass valid for either the 29th or the 30th, or a combo ticket that covers both days if they wish to participate in both events.
For each city, there’s an exclusive ticket option available. Attendees can choose between a one-day pass, which is valid for either the 29th or the 30th, and a two-day package that includes access to both days if they prefer to experience both events.

How to purchase tickets
On the web:
- Open the Pokemon Go City Safari website
- Press ‘Buy Tickets’
- Chose the city
- Tap on “Get Tickets”
- Select the day and time
- Add the number of tickets and player names
- If you want you can select add-ons
- Pay up and that’s it!
On the game app:
- Open Pokemon Go on your phone
- On the main screen, tap the Main Menu button (Poke Ball)
- Tap ‘Events’ on the right top corner
- Select the City
- Press ‘Get Ticket’
- Select the day and time
- Add the number of tickets and player names
- If you want you can select add-ons
- Pay up and you’re done!
It’s important to remember that tickets might become unavailable for purchase and cannot be refunded once bought. However, players with a ‘Great Friends’ status have the ability to give a ticket to another player, as long as they have their username.

Additionally, players have the option to buy extra features, apart from the one for the second day that was previously discussed, which can further improve their City Safari gameplay.

At the outset of their study, trainers may find an Eevee adorned with an explorer’s cap. They have the option to designate this Eevee as their companion, which allows them to evolve it by using 25 Eevee Candies. This evolution will result in any of the Eeveelutions also sporting an explorer hat.

For the very first time in Pokemon Go, players will encounter the donkey-type Pokemon known as Mudbray. If they manage to evolve Mudbray, they’ll be granted access to Mudsdale.

Timed Research
During the Pokemon Go City Safari event, you’ll find yourself embarking on a thrilling journey through significant sites, iconic landmarks, and popular sports venues, all thanks to the Eevee Explorers Timed Research task!
After finishing the Timed Research, players will be treated to a special encounter where they can meet an Eevee sporting an explorer hat in every place they explore.
Field Research
Additionally, players can expect to participate in Field Research events that align with specific themes. Further details about the activities involved will be disclosed when Niantic provides more information.
Event bonuses
The trainers who purchase a ticket will enjoy:
- An increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokemon
- Up to x5 Special Trades during the day
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust
- Lure Modules (excluding Golden Lures) activated during the event will last for four hours
