Unlock the Power of Crafting in Honkai: Star Rail with Wishful Resin – Here’s How to Get and Use It!

In the Version 3.0 update of Honkai: Star Rail, players find themselves increasingly reliant on Wishful Resin and Variable Dice – two new additions to the game by HoYoverse. Wishful Resin, like its counterpart Variable Dice, serves a crucial role in optimizing character builds. While Variable Dice allows for random reallocation of enhancements on level Relics and Ornaments, Wishful Resin enhances your chances when crafting. Notably, it complements the valuable Self-Modeling Resin in Honkai: Star Rail.

When working on Relics and Ornaments, Self-Modeling Resin determines the primary stat of the item. Now, with the addition of Wishful Resin, you can also set two additional sub-stats during crafting. Essentially, Wishful Resin enhances the existing crafting system started with Self-Modeling Resin and, combined with the Variable Dice in Honkai: Star Rail, gives players a greater opportunity than before to fine-tune their character builds and secure superior stats for their playable units – as long as they know where to search.

How To Get Wishful Resin

There Are F2P & Premium Methods Of Obtaining The Item In Honkai: Star Rail

One simple and clear way to obtain the new item is by reaching level 50 in the Nameless Honor battle pass, which can be accessed through the free-to-play (F2P) mode for all players who can max out their system. In Honkai: Star Rail’s premium version of the battle pass, players may gain an additional Wishful Resin upon reaching level 20.

As a devoted fan, I’d like to share an alternative way to gather Wishful Resin without spending a dime! This can be done through the Material Synthesis feature in your Omni-Synthesizer. Here, you can transform one Self-Modeling Resin into one Wishful Resin each month. That’s right, no additional resources are required for this conversion, but remember, you can only synthesize thrice per month.

Alternatively, you can turn 800 Relic Remains into one Wishful Resin. This method is similar to the one using Self-Modeling Resin, but it’s even more restricted. You can only carry out this process twice in the Omni-Synthesizer every month.

If you’re seeking ways to overcome the restrictions on Free-to-Play methods for obtaining Wishful Resin, consider exploring premium options. Specifically, The Herta Contract products available in the store, such as Strategic Cooperation and Strategic Support, can provide you with additional Wishful Resin. However, these items require Oneiric Shards, a currency that is exclusively obtainable with real-world money. In Honkai: Star Rail, you can buy up to two Strategic Cooperation bundles per patch, while Strategic Support bundles can be purchased up to five times every update.

How To Use Wishful Resin

Consume The Item To Craft Relics & Ornaments

In my experience as a fan, utilizing Wishful Resin is as straightforward as working with Self-Modeling Resin, but it doesn’t function independently. Instead, you’ll need Self-Modeling Resin to fashion a Relic piece, and in the process, you’ll use up your Wishful Resin. To begin this crafting journey, open your Omni-Synthesizer and navigate to the Relic creation section. Here, choose the piece you wish to create and make use of the Customized Synthesis feature, which enables you to pick the piece’s primary stat using your Self-Modeling Resin. Remember, it’s essential to have Relic Remains for crafting Relics in Honkai: Star Rail.

In Honkai: Star Rail, when crafting a Relic, you can choose to assign up to two specific sub-stats. If you select just one sub-stat, only one Wishful Resin will be used. However, if you want to assign two possible sub-stats, you’ll need to use four Wishful Resins. After making your selections and confirming, craft the Relic piece you require. The remaining two sub-stats for the piece will always be randomly determined during either the crafting process or when leveling your Relic within Honkai: Star Rail.

In essence, Wishful Resin doesn’t ensure that the item you create, be it a Relic or Ornament, will perfectly suit your character in Honkai: Star Rail. As you enhance the item, there’s a possibility it could acquire unwanted secondary stats, which may level up instead of the ones you desire. This is where Variable Dice becomes useful. Although the random nature of the Relic system can be challenging, there are strategies to lessen its impact and Wishful Resin is one such strategy that can help improve your character builds in Honkai: Star Rail.
