In Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll find numerous weapons to select, each offering multiple build options. Each weapon and monster features unique statistics that interact with one another, creating numerous factors to consider when designing your character or planning for specific hunts.
The Training Ground is an ideal spot, particularly at the start of the game, to experiment with various weapon combinations and test your build against particular types of enemies to ensure its effectiveness, rather than figuring things out in real-time against a challenging monster. Here’s where you can locate the Training Ground and how to adjust it according to your preferences.
Where To Find The Training Area In Monster Hunter Wilds
The Training Grounds are situated exclusively within the Windward Plains Base Camp, which serves as the initial base in the game. As soon as you’re granted the freedom to explore the camp during the game’s introductory phase, you can locate and enter the training grounds. You’ll find the entrance to this area along the north side of the camp, situated at the back end, quite distant from the main camp entrance.
At the Training Area’s entry, you’ll find large wooden columns draped in a red cloth, surrounded by various weapons. Approach and interact with this setup to gain entry.
How To Customize The Training Area In Monster Hunter Wilds
Within the Training Grounds, there will be a Temporary Encampment and the Training Grounds Overseer. At the Temporary Encampment, you have the ability to modify your equipment to experiment with various builds and weapon types, giving you an opportunity to practice using each major weapon category in a secure environment. In the center of the Training Grounds stands the High-Performance Dummy Punching Bag, which serves as the game’s training target. At the Training Grounds Overseer, you can customize the stats and settings of the Punching Bag for your convenience.
- Hide Settings
- Wound Settings
- Mode
- Pattern
- Orientation
- Natural Recovery Settings
- Strength Settings
Inside the Training Area, you can also get free ammo to try out with weapons like Light Bowguns.
As a passionate monster enthusiast, I’d like to share some insights about how these creatures behave, particularly their actions and damage mechanics. You have the freedom to tailor the attributes of the Puncher whenever suits you, providing an opportunity to test your strategy against various scenarios in this secure setting.
If you’re up for a more authentic experience, consider altering the Puncher’s Mode, turning it active and engaging with you. This allows you to hone your skills in dodging, blocking, and even parrying, making every encounter a thrilling challenge!
