As a seasoned theme park enthusiast with years of experience under my belt, I am absolutely thrilled about Universal Orlando Resort’s upcoming Epic Universe and its crown jewel, the Universal Helios Grand Hotel. Having traversed countless theme parks across the globe, I can confidently say that this Mediterranean-inspired palace is a game-changer.
Universal Orlando Resort has unveiled additional details on the Universal Helios Grand Hotel – a luxurious 500-room accommodation set to open at their future theme park, Epic Universe, in 2025. This hotel carries the name of the Greek deity associated with the sun.
One of the big perks of staying at Helios is that it is basically inside the park and has its own dedicated entrance to Epic Universe. Additionally, guests at Helios (and Universal’s other hotels) get early park admission and access to a complimentary shuttle bus.
As a thrilled admirer, I’m excited to share that I’ve been part of the collaboration between Universal and Loews Hotels in bringing to life the stunning Helios Grand Hotel. This marvel is designed with a Mediterranean aesthetic, boasting lush gardens and captivating water features throughout. Universal refers to it as a “palatial” retreat, blending the essence of immersion and relaxation in an unparalleled way.
At Helios, floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby offer breathtaking views of the freshly built Celestial Park at Epic Universe. The rooms, according to Universal, are crafted to embody the serene atmosphere of a blissful garden. Additionally, there are themed suites inspired by How to Train Your Dragon, specifically designed for kids.
Additionally, the hotel boasts a fitness center, recreation area, and a shop, accompanied by the Flora Taverna, a full-service eatery offering meals throughout the day. You’ll also find an on-site coffee shop named Aurora Market.
Additionally, you’ll find Bar Helios, a rooftop lounge, which serves drinks, food, and panoramic vistas of Epic Universe. Of course, it boasts a swimming pool equipped with underwater speakers, cabanas, a hot tub, and even movies shown poolside. The pool comes complete with its own bar and grill, Lotus Lagoon.
At Helios Hotel, the rates for their rooms and suites aren’t publicly shared, but one can reasonably expect they won’t be budget-friendly. With Universal Helios joining Universal’s existing 10 hotels, it increases the total number of rooms to a substantial 11,000 spread across all properties.
