Universal Monsters Haunt Vegas with Year-Round Horror and Twisted New Attractions!

The fresh, all-year-round Halloween Horror Nights event in Las Vegas, titled Universal Unleashed, recently disclosed additional details about the classic Universal Monsters mansion that will take center stage.

The following press release comes from NBC/Universal:

The scariest figures in movie history will emerge from the darkness as Universal Horror Unleashed reveals further information about the chilling Universal Monsters haunted house, along with the eerie Dead Storage themed area and The Boiler, a disturbingly alive cocktail bar where not just the machines are active. Combined, these attractions add thrilling layers of heart-stopping amusement to Universal Destinations & Experiences’ first permanent horror destination, set to launch in Las Vegas on August 14.

Step into the chilling realm of Universal Monsters’ haunted abode, where the iconic terrors from the silver screen have escaped to prey upon unsuspecting souls like me. As you traverse the decrepit mausoleum of the renowned monster hunter, Van Helsing, and venture into the forsaken realms of creatures that shaped the horror genre, be prepared to encounter the darkest corners of Castle Dracula, the sandy burial sites guarded by The Mummy, and the electrifying laboratories where Frankenstein and his bride still pulse with life – this haunted house breathes new life into the timeless monsters that have haunted our nightmares for centuries.

Before stepping into Van Helsing’s domain, visitors will be plunged into terrifying stories and encounter spine-tingling stunts and encounters within the Dead Storage area, which is one of the themed zones inside an old production warehouse. Mirroring the grandeur of Universal’s earliest horror film productions, the Dead Storage will immerse guests in a dark and mysterious haven filled with forgotten props and spooky artifacts that have been reclaimed by nocturnal creatures – vampires, a werewolf undergoing transformation, and other unexpected beings.

Hidden beyond Old Storage, you’ll find The Boiler bar, an imposing mechanical monster that pulses with heat and danger. Situated right where several horror zones intersect within the venue, The Boiler is a blend of terrifying showcase and relaxing sanctuary. It offers visitors a strategic spot to take a brief break while still being part of the action, sipping on crafted cocktails beneath a massive flaming apparatus.

Universal Horror Unleashed, the initial year-round horror experience by Universal Destinations & Experiences, is opening on August 14 at AREA15 District in Las Vegas. This frightful extravaganza includes four themed immersion zones within an abandoned production warehouse and four spine-chilling haunted houses: Universal Monsters, Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer; Texas Chainsaw Massacre; and Scarecrow: The Reaping. To amplify the terror, food and beverage options are themed too, offering craft cocktails and themed treats in certain areas. Additionally, there’s a retail location stocking exclusive merchandise. Tickets for this terrifying event can be bought at UniversalHorrorUnleashed.com.
