The image above displays a ranking of all Umamusume: Pretty Derby Support Cards, according to their overall power. This ranking takes into account the bonuses and skills these cards offer to your character. We chose not to rank Rare cards because they lack unique abilities and are relatively weak, even when fully leveled up. Therefore, aim to collect a few SSR and SR cards as early as possible, as this will give you an advantage in the game for some time.
Umamusume: Pretty Derby Support Card Stat Tier Lists

In the provided rankings, you can observe how Umamusume: Pretty Derby Support Cards perform compared to cards of similar stats. Generally speaking, when developing a fresh character, you should primarily concentrate on enhancing two key stats. To achieve this, select two Support Cards for each stat and then consider adding either Aoi Kiryuin or Tazuna Hayakawa. This setup provides a solid foundation for nurturing a competent character.
In most cases, it’s wise to develop characters based on their unique abilities. For instance, if a character excels in long-distance races, it’s beneficial to enhance their Speed and Stamina. To achieve this, you should use Speed and Stamina Support Cards to boost these attributes as much as possible, except perhaps at the very beginning when your collection of high-quality SR and SSR support cards may be limited.
Here’s a suggested arrangement of Support Card teams that work well for character training on a tight budget, or later when you aspire to field a complete SSR (Super Rare) squad:
1. Balanced Budget Team: A mix of SR and R cards with strategic combinations to optimize performance.
2. Starter Squad Plus: Utilize your initial starter cards along with affordable SR picks for a competitive edge.
3. SR Ascension Team: Train a core group of SR cards, gradually upgrading them to SSR level over time.
4. Budget-Friendly SSR Dream Team: A dream team composed mainly of R cards, aiming to save resources while still achieving high performance.

Obtaining New Support Cards

In Umamusume: Pretty Derby, you can acquire new Support Cards in two ways: by scouting them from Support Card banners and by finishing Story chapters. Each attempt at the scout banner requires 150 CARATS and awards one Support Exchange Point. Once you’ve made 200 attempts on the gacha, you can exchange your accumulated points for any of the SSR Support Cards using the Support Exchange Points.
To obtain certain Support Cards without charge, you’ll need to finish the primary Story stages first. Keep in mind though, that some of these stages necessitate winning races using a pre-trained character.
How to Upgrade Support Cards in Umamusume: Pretty Derby

You can enhance Support Cards by removing their limits with identical cards and improving them using SP and Moonies. Lifting the limit boosts the highest level a Support Card can reach, while upgrading improves the benefits it offers. At levels 30 (SR), 35 (SSR), and 45 (SR and SSR), Support Cards grant extra bonuses.
