Ubisoft Clarifies Rumors About Animus Hub, The New Name Of Assassin's Creed Infinity

As a seasoned Assassin’s Creed enthusiast with years of parkour, hidden blade wielding, and historical lore-deciphering under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and relief upon hearing Ubisoft’s clarification regarding the Animus Hub. The thought of a free-to-play hub filled with regular content updates without any pesky subscriptions or paid battle passes is music to my ears.

Ubisoft addressed recent leaks concerning the upcoming Assassin’s Creed project, now known as Animus Hub (formerly codenamed Infinity). In a Reddit post, they clarified that some of the circulating details were inaccurate, aiming to set the record straight.

Initially, it’s important to note that all perks within the Animus Hub are completely free, according to Ubisoft. Furthermore, they assured us that there won’t be any paid subscriptions or battle passes in the Animus Hub. The company also emphasized that they plan to frequently update the Animus Hub with new content and missions at no additional cost to users.

Further information about the project, previously known as codename Infinity, will be disclosed near its release, as confirmed by Ubisoft. Interestingly, this is the first official announcement of the game’s real title; a developer had mentioned it casually during an interview back in June.

The latest leak discloses that players will have the opportunity to obtain diverse cosmetic items for their characters and weapons. Previous reports indicated that these cosmetics encompass advanced weapon skins, armor, futuristic in nature, as well as mounts inspired by mythology, and resources within the game for use. Additionally, a leaked image hints at Yasuke being inside the Animus Hub.

As a gaming enthusiast eagerly waiting for the next installment of Assassin’s Creed, I was initially thrilled about playing Assassin’s Creed Shadows this coming October. However, it seems that fate has other plans as the release date has been pushed back to February 14, 2025, giving the developers more time to perfect the game and deliver an even better experience for us gamers.
