Two individuals, including a minor, were apprehended and indicted following the fatal shooting of TikToker Chrystofer Whyte in late June.
On the 12th of June, popular TikTok user Chrystofer Whyte (with more than 100,000 followers) tragically lost his life due to gunfire at a beach in Long Branch, New Jersey.
17-year-old’s latest video was shared before the incident occurred, featuring him relaxing on a bustling beach. He frequently posted videos earlier, such as mimicking popular songs and joining popular dance crazes online.
Fans were puzzled by Whyte’s absence from TikTok, but later found out that he had been tragically killed. Two individuals are now facing charges for the murder of the well-known TikToker.
Two charged with murder of TikToker Chrystofer Whyte
As reported by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, an 18-year-old named Dwayne Exilus and a minor (whose identity cannot be disclosed due to his age) are currently facing charges for the alleged murder of Whyte.
In the town of Woodbridge, Exilus faced multiple charges:
1. Conspiracy to Illegally Carry a Firearm (handgun) – Second Degree
2. Illegal Possession of a Weapon – Second Degree
3. Obstructing Justice in the Third Degree
4. Possessing a Forbidden Weapon – Fourth Degree

The young person has been given charges related to juvenile court involving Murder, planning to illegally possess a weapon, illegal possession of a weapon, using a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possessing a banned weapon, and obstruction of justice.
The short video posted by Whyte on that particular day has garnered more than 6 million views, with numerous admirers paying tribute to the TikTok star in various ways.
