Twitch’s Most-Watched Streamer

At the moment, Asmongold stands out as the top-viewed Twitch streamer, with a significant lead, and interestingly enough, he’s achieving this on his secondary channel, ‘zackrawrr.’ On this channel, he runs relatively few advertisements, which might not be met with approval from Twitch itself.

Over the last two weeks, Asmon has broadcasted for a total of 108 hours, with an astounding viewer watch time of 5,032,178 hours.

I’ve got quite the lead here, with my streams garnering over 4 million hours of watch time in the same timeframe, compared to second-place Caedrel who clocks in at just 4,196,900 hours. As for me, I’ve been streaming non-stop for a solid 96 hours according to SullyGnome’s stats.

2023 has been a break year for me on my main Twitch stream. Last year, I opened up about how streaming on the main account can be stressful for me. It’s a strange kind of pressure that doesn’t make logical sense, and I think that might be why it affects me so much.

Consequently, he now solely broadcasts on ZackRawrr (his secondary account), which, for quite some time, didn’t have a partnership with Twitch.

At first, it functioned entirely without any form of monetization, offering viewers an ad-free and subscription-free streaming experience courtesy of its dedicated fanbase.

In December 2024, I made a big decision after some chats with Twitch – I decided to start earning from my channel. Here’s why: Turns out, my stream was drawing a massive crowd, but it wasn’t bringing in any income due to the high traffic costs. So, I thought it was only fair that I share some of the benefits with the platform that’s given me such an incredible platform to game and connect with you all.

He predicted back in July 2024 that Twitch might be spending more than a million dollars per month to host this channel, and they’re not thrilled about it. If I have to continue with it and they plan to show ads, I’ll collaborate with them. If there are going to be ads, I want to be fairly compensated for it.

After turning on the subscription feature, the channel quickly gained more than 10,000 subscribers in a matter of minutes. But since Asmongold seldom encourages his viewers to subscribe, the number of subscribers has dropped significantly and now stands at approximately 7,000.

Despite leading in total watch hours, Asmongold ranks 7th in terms of average viewers, boasting approximately 46,000. Kai Cenat currently claims the top spot for highest average viewers, with slightly more than 60,000 viewers (excluding one Ibai stream that garnered over 400,000 viewers).

Despite enabling monetization, Asmongold says he keeps ads to a minimum.

From the 19th of January through the 17th of February in the year 2025, his Twitch earnings totaled $37,001.40, with only a small sum coming from ads.

He expressed, quite frankly, that the revenue number should be zero. If he were constantly showing ads and encouraging subscriptions, undoubtedly, it would be zero. However, he’s not particularly keen on doing that.

As a dedicated gamer on Twitch, I can’t say for certain if my channel functions as a loss leader or not, but it wouldn’t hurt to show a few more ads here and there, and maybe encourage viewers to subscribe more often. After all, every little bit helps keep the stream running smoothly!
