At TwitchCon Rotterdam, a staff member responsible for managing the venue was expelled following an incident where he was caught on camera apparently making inappropriate advances towards female streamers.
The TwitchCon Europe event happened in Rotterdam between May 31st and June 1st, and numerous prominent streamers from the platform graced its presence.
The program showcased numerous unveilings, such as the launch of vertical channels and a fresh, paid Rewind function set to arrive on the platform; however, not all aspects of the event ran flawlessly.
At the convention, ‘Jessick’ came across an event staff member during her live stream, and let me tell you, it was undeniably uncomfortable.
TwitchCon venue staff accused of sexually harassing streamer
At Twitchcon’s live stream, Jessick engaged in conversation with an individual from the venue staff. Although this person wasn’t employed by Twitch, their behavior deeply troubled the streamer.
On platform X, Jessick shared a video detailing an incident where a team member unexpectedly touched her back. Upon turning to engage him in conversation, he mentioned that he wished to greet her audience.
twitch crew members are there to keep people safe… not harass them

He asked the chat if they agreed that we make a good pair. The response was negative. He replied, ‘Alright, thanks for your feedback.’
After discovering that Jessick is Canadian, he responded by expressing his long-held desire to date a woman from Canada and questioning whether it might eventually be you.
Ultimately, I welcomed the streamer inside the venue, leaving us alone, she candidly shared her genuine feelings with me.
Initially, I thought I’d cut him some slack, thinking he might just have his quirks. However, when he said ‘We’re an adorable couple,’ I became almost positive. When he approached me earlier, I was fairly sure he was my friend because he patted my back. His gesture left me feeling quite touched.
Beyond the distress of dealing with sexual harassment from a crew member, it escalated further when a rather intimidating individual trailed me into an elevator and made his way up to my room as well – a chilling experience I’d rather not repeat.
Later on, fellow Twitch streamer Meowko disclosed that the same staff member from the venue had been harassing her, and she successfully obtained his name.
omg….. he was removed dw. twitch staff actually were the ones that helped me. this guy was crew

Jessick continued, “I was taken off [no need for concern], as it was the Twitch team who assisted me. To clarify, this individual was part of their crew.
On prior occasions, it has been observed that streamers have experienced unwelcome approaches during TwitchCon events. For instance, in the year 2022, Amouranth’s security team had to intervene when stalkers attended TwitchCon in San Diego and began following her persistently.
2024 saw Nmplol feeling deeply disturbed when a streamer on Kick reportedly made an inappropriate physical contact during their live broadcast.
