As a long-time observer and critic of the influencer culture, I must say that this latest stunt by Twitch streamer ‘HateCaps’ has left me absolutely flabbergasted. It seems that some content creators have lost all sense of decency and responsibility, resorting to reckless and dangerous behavior in their pursuit of virality.
‘Streamer ‘HateCaps’ has been met with criticism online following his actions of climbing over a barrier to enter a tiger enclosure at a zoo, which he streamed live.’
It’s not uncommon for influencers to pull extravagant stunts every now and then with the aim of becoming popular, but many people believe that a particular content creator has crossed the line.
HateCaps is a collaborative Twitch streamer boasting more than 45,000 followers, belonging to “The Content Boys,” a collective of video creators who jointly publish content on YouTube.
In one of HateCaps’ live streams during October, while visiting a zoo, he chose to take things a step further by leaping over the enclosure fence for the tiger exhibit, even though his camera operator advised him to calm down.
Immediately after jumping over the fence, an elderly woman close by cautioned him, saying she’d inform on him.
“I don’t care about you, I care about the tiger,” she said.
“You should know better,” another woman said nearby. “The tiger doesn’t. …shut up and walk away.”
A segment of HateCaps’ live stream is being widely shared online, sparking discussions among internet users about the streamer’s behavior. Many are criticizing him for a dangerous stunt he performed and his confrontation with fellow zoo visitors.

“If he wants to be there so bad, put him in the cage,” one wrote on Twitter/X.
The conduct displayed there isn’t just risky, it’s also inconsiderate towards the animals and the guidelines intended for the safety of both wildlife and guests. It would be more appropriate if streamers demonstrated a higher level of respect.
“This isn’t something you’d want others to see, especially kids who might think it’s okay to copy.” Another person added.
Currently, Twitch has not taken action to ban HateCaps, so his channel remains active for users to access.
On previous occasions, HateCaps’ behavior during live streams has led to strong reactions, too. Back in July, he ignited fireworks inside a Walmart store, which resulted in another wave of disapproval towards him.
