Twitch streamer Central Committee admits they “deserved the ban” for Destiny “joke”

As a long-time Twitch viewer and follower of Destiny, I must say this latest incident involving Central Committee (Mike from PA) has left me disheartened. The platform seems to have a recurring issue with streamers making threats or crossing dangerous lines without any significant repercussions.

As a streamer on Twitch, I found myself in hot water when I made a comment suggesting I’d be willing to pay $100k for someone to cause harm to Destiny. Unfortunately, this led to my ban from the platform.

In a since-removed video, Central Committee, or Mike from Pennsylvania, hinted at potentially making threats towards the Kick streamer. He suggested, “Wow, if you reside in Florida, I might have an opportunity for you. If you’re interested in earning $100k, just let me know.

On November 9th, Mike from Pennsylvania, via X/Twitter, acknowledged that the ban was justified as he found their joke to be unfunny and admitted they were deserving of it. The length of the ban remains uncertain, but in response to another user’s question, the streamer expressed doubt that it would be permanent.

the joke wasn’t funny.

After serving a two-week suspension in October, Asmongold reentered the conversation, advocating for Destiny and expressing his desire to invite Dan Saltman, co-host of Destiny’s Anything Else? podcast, onto his live stream if Twitch did not address the situation.

It seems that Twitch is struggling with a significant moderation issue. If they fail to take action against him, I’m considering inviting Dan from Destiny’s show for a joint discussion on this matter while streaming live. This step clearly transcends a risky boundary.

Destiny was permanently banned from Twitch in 2022.

In June 2024, Destiny made an unsuccessful appeal against his ban, but it wasn’t until October that he discovered the specific video clip that led to his expulsion from the platform. Now, Destiny broadcasts on Kick and typically has about a thousand live viewers at any given time. His podcast, Anything Else?, consistently draws views in six figures, tackling diverse subjects.

On multiple occasions, broadcasters have motivated their audience to fulfill certain tasks in exchange for monetary incentives. For instance, in the month of April, a streamer named Denims promised $30,000 as a reward to make a man vanish, stemming from a disagreement over Stellar Blade.
