Travel vlogger Jinny disclosed that she’s been prohibited from visiting Taiwan for the next three years due to working there illegally, without the necessary permits… however, she believes Blizzard Entertainment partially contributed to this predicament.
As a dedicated admirer, I’d like to highlight that Jinnytty stands out among the crowd on Twitch. Her captivating presence has attracted more than a million enthusiastic viewers who eagerly follow her exciting journeys across the globe.
Over the span of my career, I’ve had the privilege of guiding my audience on an incredible global journey, visiting numerous countries worldwide. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to broadcast live from Taiwan for the next three years due to a work permit issue that arose in 2023.
That year, Jinny was invited by Blizzard to participate in an event in Taiwan, as her ‘Waddlethon’ streaming marathon had gained significant popularity in the country and attracted numerous enthusiastic fans during her visit.

Jinny faces three-year ban from Taiwan over work permit issue
It seemed to her that Blizzard and their agency, UTA, had sorted out all the details with the Taiwanese government, believing they had secured the necessary permits for her to work there… however, it turned out that was not true.
In her April 2025 live stream, she clarified that no temporary work permit was granted to her in 2023. She went on to say that the company and the agency both seemed to have made an oversight, as they didn’t ensure she received a temporary work permit.
Jinny acknowledged that she ought to have checked for necessary permits herself, but believed that her agency and Blizzard would have taken care of it already, considering she’d previously collaborated with businesses in Taiwan.
She didn’t consider asking about it, as her initial thought was, “They must have done it.” After all, that’s what they are supposed to do. (She added this afterward)
The broadcaster mentioned that she was informed to the authorities about her employment in Taiwan. At first, she seemed unfazed by this information, but subsequently faced significant repercussions because, unbeknownst to her, she lacked the necessary permits for working there.
According to Jinny, while Blizzard only faced a fine, her punishment was much more severe – a three-year ban on entering the country.
Despite Blizzard’s legal team trying to overturn Jinny’s ban, their attempts were unsuccessful, prompting her to apply for Taiwan’s Golden Visa instead. This visa functions as both a work and residence permit, aimed at inviting foreign professionals into the country. Remarkably, she was granted this visa in 2024.
After coming back to Taiwan in February 2025, she learned that her entry into the country had been restricted for a period of three years, starting from that date. This means she cannot re-enter Taiwan until 2028. Additionally, they rescinded her Gold Visa.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m absolutely flabbergasted! “Taiwan is my favorite place to be, and this is just mind-blowing!” I exclaimed. “I can’t wrap my head around it. It’s beyond comprehension. The way this is functioning… How? Just… how? It’s so peculiar.
Jinny has expressed that she doesn’t hold her agency responsible for the confusion, and she remains content with them professionally, but feels irritated by how the predicament was managed.
However, it’s not just Jinny who encounters difficulties abroad. For instance, a streamer named Vitaly found himself in more serious trouble than a work permit issue when he was apprehended and is now facing criminal charges for harassing locals in the Philippines.
