Streamer Tectone thinks that Twitch reversed his latest ban as a result of the strong public outcry from his supporters regarding the decision.
On April 26th, Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, banned Tectone, a former member of OTK (Only Teammates Keep Rising). However, Twitch doesn’t typically reveal the cause or duration of suspensions. A few days after the ban, Tectone himself disclosed the reason for it.
As a gamer, I’ve got some news to share – I was temporarily banned from Twitch for 2 weeks due to my choice of words towards fellow streamer Frogan. To be honest, I don’t regret calling her a certain name, and I still stand by it. But moving forward, I promise to avoid bringing her up again in my future discussions.
Additionally, the streamer argued it was astonishingly absurd that he was suspended for such an incident, implying that other popular streamers like Hasan and Denims often utter statements that are significantly more extreme, yet they rarely receive any warnings.
Tectone says Twitch suspension lifted for “good behavior”
It’s worth mentioning that Tectone’s ban was lifted a few days later, leading him to suspect that Twitch may have been influenced to rescind the suspension as a result of fan pressure.
On April 28, he shared the exciting news that his good conduct had led to the permanent removal of his streaming ban on Twitch, signaling his upcoming return to the platform.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have gotten unbanned as soon as I did without all of you standing by me online and during my YouTube live debut. To everyone who supported me, I can’t express enough gratitude – I owe you a huge debt.

Initially, a streamer who used to stream on OTK had asserted that no one else had been issued warnings, but in early March, Hasan was temporarily suspended by Twitch for a day.
On the platform, adjustments have been made concerning bans, providing clearer explanations about the particular reasons. However, it seems that the responsibility for announcing the cause of the ban remains with the streamers themselves.
