‘Twisted Metal’ Sets Season 2 Release Date at Peacock

Twisted Metal” Season 2 is coming to Peacock this summer.

Peacock, the streaming service from NBCUniversal, has announced that the second season of its action-comedy series will start airing on July 31. They have also shared a fresh teaser for Season 2, which you can watch below. This show is adapted from the popular video game franchise with the same name and was first introduced in July 2023.

The official description for Season 2 states:

After the shocking events in the season finale, characters John (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) join forces to participate in the lethal Twisted Metal tournament. This destructive race is overseen by a secretive figure called Calypso (Anthony Carrigan). As they battle an onslaught of ruthless opponents, both old and new, such as Sweet Tooth – a homicidal clown played by Joe Seanoa but voiced by Will Arnett, complications arise for John when he encounters his long-lost sister Dollface (Tiana Okoye), who is a vigilante.

The series’ regular lineup is further bolstered by frequent appearances from actors like Saylor Bell Curda, Lisa Gilroy, Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, and Michael James Shaw.

Michael Jonathan Smith fulfills the roles of writer, executive producer, and showrunner for the series “Twisted Metal.” Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Mackie, Arnett, Marc Forman, and Jason Spire also serve as executive producers. Electric Avenue, Inspire Entertainment, Grant Dekernion, Artists First, PlayStation Productions, and Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Studio Business Group have executive producer roles, as well. The production of the series is handled by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, and Universal Television. In Season 2, Phil Sgriccia, Bill Benz, Iain MacDonald, and Bertie Ellwood are the directors.
