12Labs, an AI company specializing in video analysis technology for media and entertainment, recently sealed a partnership with Amazon Bedrock. This collaboration will make 12Labs’ tools accessible through Amazon’s developer platform. The specific details of the deal, which was finalized just before the NAB Show in Las Vegas, have been kept confidential.
Under the terms of the agreement, TwelveLabs’ Marengo and Pegasus foundation models will be accessible via Amazon Bedrock, marking it as the initial cloud platform to provide these tools. These models are primarily designed for the media & entertainment industry, including film and television studios, with applications ranging from dailies to archive management.
According to Jae Lee, co-founder and CEO of TwelveLabs, a significant portion of the world’s data is in video format, but much of it goes unused due to its unsearchability.
