Turn-based RPG Full Circle announced for PC and consoles

2ndPlayerGames is creating a turn-based RPG called Full Circle, and Deck13 Spotlight will publish it on PC and consoles.

2ndPlayerGames, a solo developer, and publisher Deck13 Spotlight are excited to announce their new indie JRPG, Full Circle. Inspired by classic PlayStation 1-era JRPGs, the game was revealed at Indie Quest 2026 and will be available to play at Gamescom later this year.

In a world shattered by disaster and overrun by terrifying creatures, the last of humanity lives safely in cities floating above the ruined surface. But now, a new generation is being trained to venture back down to the dangerous lands below, tasked with ensuring humanity’s survival. When a scouting mission uncovers other survivors, competing cities, and shocking secrets, everything these young heroes thought they knew is called into question.

Full Circle draws inspiration from beloved PlayStation-era RPGs like Lunar, Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy, and Legend of Dragoon – games that defined a golden age for the developer. It’s a heartfelt tribute to his childhood, blending those cherished elements with a contemporary 2.5HD pixel art style, smooth gameplay, and modern controls.

We aim to recapture the best elements of the genre – aspects that have been somewhat lost over time – and combine them with the smooth, dynamic gameplay of modern games. We’re honoring the classic roots while also adding fresh ideas and mechanics that weren’t possible in the past, ultimately revitalizing the formula.
