Season 3 of *Tulsa King* brings higher stakes for Dwight Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone) and his team as a new rival appears, threatening their climb to power in Oklahoma. The new season on Paramount+ continues storylines from Season 2, including the surprising partnership between Manfredi and Bill Bevilaqua (Frank Grillo), the aftermath of Jimmy’s death, and the shocking finale where the FBI arrested Manfredi.
Season 3 of Tulsa King finds Dwight Manfredi setting his sights on a new business: a local distillery in Oklahoma. This venture gets complicated because the distillery owner’s daughter, Cleo, is someone Mitch Keller, one of Manfredi’s men, used to date. Manfredi’s attempt to buy the distillery quickly leads to conflict with Jeremiah Dunmire (Robert Patrick), a powerful and unscrupulous businessman with many connections.
TopMob recently interviewed the stars of *Tulsa King* Season 3, discussing how their characters are developing, what they’re looking forward to this season, and some unmissable plotlines for fans.
As a huge fan, I was really hooked by Season 3’s new direction for Mitch Keller. It all started when his old friend, Cleo – played brilliantly by Bella Heathcote – came back into his life. But things quickly got complicated! Her family’s distillery turned out to be mixed up with some serious trouble, and the dangerous Dunmires were right in the middle of it all. It created a really compelling storyline, honestly.
Garrett Hedlund, who plays Mitch, explained that Mitch and his love interest share a strong, undeniable history, and he simply can’t let go of her. He believes Mitch would do anything to protect her, without question.
The first season of *Tulsa King* ended with a shocking scene: masked men broke into Margaret Devereaux’s bedroom and kidnapped Dwight Manfredi while he was sleeping. It was later discovered that these men were actually FBI agents who wanted to recruit Manfredi for their own purposes.
As a huge fan of the show, I always found Dana Delany’s portrayal of Margaret Devereaux so compelling. She recently shared some insight into that pivotal scene with Dwight, and it really clarified things for me. She basically said Margaret had to seriously ask herself if a relationship with Dwight was worth all the drama and complications. And, honestly, knowing Margaret, we already had a pretty good idea of how she’d answer that question!
A key character died in Season 2 of *Tulsa King* when Jimmy was shot and killed by someone working for Belivaqua. His close friend, Bodhi (played by Martin Starr), was deeply affected. Starr has revealed that Bodhi will be driven by a desire for revenge in the beginning of Season 3, suggesting he’ll actively pursue those responsible for Jimmy’s death.
TopMob’s Aeron Eclarinal interviewed a cast including Garret Hedlund, who plays Mitch Keller, Bella Heathcote as Cleo Montague, Jay Will as Tyson, Martin Starr as Bodhi, Annabelle Sciorra as Joanne Manfredi, Dana Delany as Margaret Devereaux, and Kevin Pollak as Special Agent Musso.

Garrett Hedlund & Bella Heathcote on Tulsa King Season 3‘s New Romance
I’m really excited about Bella Heathcote joining *Tulsa King* this season! She plays Cleo Montague, who’s the daughter of a big-time distillery owner and has a history with Mitch. It’s cool to see them reconnect, and she quickly becomes a key part of Dwight’s inner circle. I think she’s going to be a great addition to the show!
- TopMob: “What is it like joining such an incredible cast and acting alongside the likes of Sylvester Stallone and Robert Patrick?”
Okay, so getting onto the set for the first time was definitely nerve-wracking, but honestly, everyone was amazing and made me feel right at home. Playing Cleo has been a blast! She’s such a mischievous character – really flirty, sassy, and she’s got a complicated past with Mitch. Basically, she comes to town because her dad’s distillery is facing some problems and she wants to fix things, but she quickly gets pulled right back into Mitch’s world, and all the drama that comes with it.
From the start of *Tulsa King* Season 3, the connection between Mitch and Cleo is undeniable. It’s obvious their current relationship is rooted in a deep history together.
- TopMob: “What can you tease about Mitch and Cleo’s dynamic as the season progresses? Because I think Cleo is Mitch’s weakness, which can be exploited by Dwight Manfredi’s enemies.”
Garrett Hedlund says working on the series was consistently exciting and fun. He appreciated how the show constantly throws new chaos at the characters and found himself smiling while watching the episodes, which was a surprisingly enjoyable experience even for him. He also emphasized that filming the show was a blast for everyone involved.
Bella Heathcote points out the show plays with the classic ‘will they, won’t they’ dynamic, but adds another layer – questioning whether a potential relationship would even be a good idea. She suggests the characters’ connection is complicated and likely to cause problems.
- TopMob: “Garrett, you are in a unique position because I think the conflict with Robert Patrick’s character, Jeremiah Dunmire, is closer to Mitch because of his ties with Cleo. It is like a ticking time bomb. Is it possible that Mitch would take matters into his own hands down the line to protect Cleo?”
Garrett Hedlund hinted that a reunion between his character and a former love interest is definitely a possibility. He explained that their past connection is strong and that his character feels compelled to protect her, even if it’s difficult. He hopes audiences will be rooting for them to finally find happiness together, highlighting his character’s strong moral compass as the driving force behind his unwavering loyalty.
Dana Delany & Kevin Pollak on New Stories & Characters In Tulsa King Season 3
Kevin Pollak joins the cast of *Tulsa King* Season 3 as Special Agent Musso, an FBI agent. He’ll be working with Dwight Manfredi, and is likely to cause problems for him in the new season.
- TopMob: Special Agent Musso is interesting and intimidating. One of the early things that audiences will learn about him is that he has a certain grip on Dwight Manfredi, which is unique. Can you tell us more about your experience working with Sylvester Stallone, and can you tease your character’s dynamic with him in Season 3?
I hadn’t met Sylvester Stallone before we worked together, which surprised both of us. He’s always been an inspiration – not just for writing the fantastic film *Rocky*, but also for insisting on starring in it when others doubted him. As a writer myself, I really admire that. It’s been amazing to work with someone so iconic, and I’ve had that chance a few times. You never quite know what to expect! He’s a fantastic leader on set, really looking after everyone and making sure we all have a good time. He’s a wonderful actor to share a scene with and a true inspiration.
Although we don’t fully understand Special Agent Musso’s motives regarding Manfredi, he clearly knows how to provoke him, and that puts Manfredi’s work in danger.
- TopMob: What can you tease us about what’s the secrets of Special Agent Musso in Season 3?
As a huge cinema fan, one line that always stuck with me from ‘Casino’ is delivered by Kevin Pollak’s character. He says, and it’s brilliantly understated, that Special Agent Musso has a plan for Joe Manfredi – Manfredi might not know what’s coming, but Musso seems confident he’s ready for whatever happens.
As a huge fan, I’m really excited to see what happens with Margaret and Dwight next season! After that crazy raid at the end of Season 2, their already complicated relationship is definitely going to be a major focus, and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
- TopMob: The last time fans saw Margaret was in the Season 2 finale when the FBI suddenly appeared inside your room and took Dwight. That was nerve-wracking. Can you tell us more about what Dana’s mindset was during that moment and how that encounter will affect your character’s relationship with Dwight in Season 3?
Dana Delany said she was completely surprised to learn it was the FBI who unexpectedly entered her bedroom. She explained that strange things like that can happen. As her character develops in Season 3, she has to consider whether a life with Dwight is worth the complications, but ultimately decides that it is.
Dana Delany and Kevin Pollak hinted that their characters will have a significant and dramatic encounter later in the season.
- TopMob: Given that Special Agent Musso is in the FBI, the same agency that raided Margaret’s house. I think it’s inevitable that both of your characters will interact at some point in Season 3. Can you paint us a picture of how that interaction will happen? Will it be intense?
Kevin Pollak: (jokingly) “We’ve got a spin-off planned: Margaret and Musso.”
Dana Delany: “What do you think?”
TopMob: “I think it will be intense.”
Kevin Pollak says it’s a really tough situation, wondering how he can get Dwight’s attention. He admits he doesn’t know how, but he’s determined to try.
Dana Delany revealed that her character will interact with Dwight later in the season, specifically in a memorable episode where they share a scene. She recalls asking Dwight, ‘Who is that, man?’ hinting at a mutual attraction between their characters.
Kevin Pollak: “Hello! I like the sound of that.”
Jay Will on Tyson’s Evolution in Tulsa King Season 3
Tyson Mitchell, played by Jay Will in Tulsa King, has experienced a lot throughout the series. He started as a simple cab driver but quickly worked his way up, becoming a trusted and forceful ally of Dwight Manfredi. However, he struggles to control his feelings, particularly after the bombing that nearly killed his father in Season 2, an event that deeply affected him.
During the third season, Tyson continues to develop, but now he’s much more self-assured and eager to support Dwight in any way possible.
- TopMob: I love your character, Tyson. I think he’s my favorite because of how complex his journey is in this show. I watched the first four episodes of Season 3, and he has a new look and a certain bravado and renewed confidence. Can you tell us more about what’s different from Tyson in Season 3?
Jay Will: “What direction do you want Tyson to go? What if? What do you want to see out of Tyson?”
TopMob: “I want to see him commit mistakes and learn from them.”
Jay Will says viewers are in for a great season, even though there were some errors along the way. He’s glad they were able to learn from those mistakes and build strong relationships, and he’s really looking forward to how it all unfolds.
- TopMob: Jay, do you have a favorite scene in Season 3?
As an actor, I really enjoyed the action scenes – the fighting was a blast! I had a lot of fun working with everything involved – the other actors, the special effects makeup, even the fake blood and prosthetics. It was just a really fun experience playing with those elemental themes of Earth, Wind, and Fire.
Martin Starr Teases If Tulsa King Season 3 Pushes Bodhi to the Edge
From the start of *Tulsa King*, Martin Starr’s character, Bodhi, has been loyal to Dwight. However, the death of his friend Jimmy in episode 8 of season 2 deeply affected him. It’s likely Bodhi will now seek revenge, and Starr believes that’s where his character’s story is headed.
- TopMob: “Martin, Bodhi is such a team player for Team Dwight throughout the first two seasons, but something inside changed him after his best friend Jimmy died in Season 2. Tell us more about Bodhi’s arc and if he will be pushed to the edge in Season 3?”
Martin Starr mentioned they definitely hint at a vengeful side to the character, particularly at the beginning, and viewers will find out what happens with that storyline.
- TopMob: “Do you think that Bodie will be pushed to the limit here in Season 3?”
Martin Starr explained that it’s understandable his character would react dramatically after a friend’s murder. He joked that acting out a little is a pretty normal response to something so traumatic, something many people can relate to.
Annabelle Sciorra on Joanne Manfredi’s Much Larger Role in Season 3
Annabelle Sciorra plays Joanne Manfredi, Dwight’s sister. At first, she tried to avoid getting involved in her brother’s criminal activities, but she ultimately stayed with him. In Season 3, Joanne’s life will take a dramatic turn as she gets more involved in the family business thanks to a new venture: a distillery.
- TopMob: “Joanne has taken a big leap this season due to Dwight’s efforts to launch a distillery. I believe that your character is the glue of the family. With her active involvement in Dwight’s business, what can fans expect about Joanne in Tulsa King Season 3?”
I’m really excited to see Annabelle Sciorra’s character get more involved! It sounds like she’s going to become a key player, basically Dwight’s right-hand woman, and she’ll be handling a lot of the more official, legal aspects of his businesses. It’s cool to see her step into a position of power.
- TopMob: Do you have any more hopes for her this season?
You know, I’m really intrigued by Annabelle Sciorra’s character. It sounds like she’s getting much more involved in the story, and I’m hoping something big happens that really lets her character step into her own and truly shine. If they do a fourth season, I’m excited to see her really come into her power.
