President Trump has tapped another Fox News personality, Mark Levin, for a White House post.
Levin has been chosen for the “updated” Homeland Security Advisory Council, headed by Kristi Noem, who is currently the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security. Trump made this announcement on Thursday. Alongside Levin, other members of this new council include Henry McMaster, the Republican Governor of South Carolina, conservative commentator and previous Fox News contributor Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, the treasurer of the Republican National Committee.
As a movie buff, I’m thrilled to share the news about my restructured Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC). This team is stacked with leading professionals in their respective fields, who are not only respected by their peers but also highly regarded within their industries. Under the guidance of Under Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, HSAC will be tirelessly working on creating innovative policies and strategies to strengthen our borders, expedite the removal of illegal criminal elements, curtail the influx of harmful substances like Fentanyl and other illicit drugs that are claiming the lives of our citizens, and most importantly, bring back the safety and security that America once knew. Here’s to a successful journey ahead!
Levin, quoting Trump’s post, wrote on X, “What an honor! Thank you, Mr. President!”
On Fox News, Levin’s show “Life, Liberty & Levin” delves into the core values and principles that shape American society, culture, politics, and current events, and discusses their significance for the country’s future and everyday citizens’ lives. The program airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET, and he began working with the network in 2017.
Besides being a well-known figure, Levin additionally serves as the host of one of the United States’ top three nationally broadcast radio shows, titled “The Mark Levin Show,” which airs on over 300 different radio stations. His most recent publication is “The Democrat Party Disdains America,” initially released by Simon & Schuster’s Threshold Editions imprint in September 2023.
Levin held various roles during the Reagan era, including serving as Chief of Staff for Attorney General Ed Meese, Associate Director of Presidential Personnel, Deputy Solicitor at the Department of Interior, and Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Department of Education, to name a few.
Previously employed by Fox, individuals such as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy have moved on to serve in the Trump administration. Notably, Sean Duffy was a former host at Fox Business and a cast member on MTV’s “The Real World: Boston” during the late 90s.
